  1. Can you call the old owners? or they still not talking to you? they might be able to give some more info. Is this in reply to RF? she said that the chiro said that it may not help (i bolded it) they are giving it 2 weeks, if not fixed or better i am guessing she will be going to the vet.
  2. Ok, the first time she slept inside, did youget up and take her out? or expect her to hold it all night? Both my dogs (one was 8 weeks when i got him, the other 4 months) i got up EVERY 2 hours, took them out, waited for them to go, and come back in. The 4 month old didnt need every 2 hours, but I wanted to be safe then sorry. I extended the time by 1 hour every week until they could hold it, if i found they had gone, i would go back to the time i was getting up before and do that for another week, then extend again. I was buggered, but i now have 2 dogs that sleep with no accidents - they both know to wake me if they need out, kaos needs to pee most nights, but I rather her wake me then pee on the floor! At can hold for 16 hours (it was raining ) I suggest you do the same, your dog doesnt know what is needed and expected of her - Put her in bed, and set the alarm, keep an ear out for her moving, if you hear her get restless, take her out and wait till she pees, put her to bed. She will get the hang of it.
  3. ohh, i dunno, At can be a poo eater, but he would rather kitty crunchies over dog poop! ETA: Just want to say that it can be a medical condition - my old boy started doing it at about 12 years old, we found out that he wasnt processing his food, and was pooping it out - therefor eating it again. He started some meds and it helped him process his food (sorry, cant tell you what meds! it was 4 years ago now)

    Humping

Ok, my 2 cents  Both my dogs hump, they have never done it to a person, Atlas will sometimes go in his crate and hump his bedding, and when they are playing and get excited, they will try to hump each other. I let them go. They know their place in the pack and when they have had enough they walk away.
  5. Kaos is 16 kgs, and 2 years old.. and still cant hold on all night  At was holding on all night by about 5 months old - each dog to their own :p Good luck
  6. If you want him to pee outside, start from day one. Go and get him a coat tomorrow, when i got Atlas we had some shocking weather, he soon learnt that the longer he sat there sooking, the longer we sat out in the cold, he would run and pee, poo and run to come back inside within a few days what sort of dog?
  7. :) ;) my OH remembers your sig as the chick with the dog that had towels coming out his back-side!! I jinxed myself Had a shower and he chewed my phone and tore my jeans. I really do give up !! anyone want a bull Terrier?? ETA: I will pay you to take him, might work out cheaper for me! :D

  10. That is a GREAT idea!!!!! I can put it up, and unscrew it when i leave! Going to get one this week! thank you!!!!
  11. i would be doing it. My girls are inside all the time - i know i am in here whinging about cat poo, but at least my cat poo stays in my laundry, not in someone elses garden. I have to keep my dogs in my yard, but its ok for people to let their cats roam?
  12. easy solution to that - ring the neighbours and TELL them to keep their cat in their own home I HATE roaming cats Get a cat trap and catch the cat
  13. cant believe this is still going Losers... :D
  14. Kaos always talks, whenever she made a noise i just treated it and said speak. Atlas hardly ever barks, even when pissed of about something, so he has never done it on command
  15. Pandii Anita my cats do not get access to outside, i dont let my dogs roam and i dont let my cats roam thanks for your help
  16. i have no way of doing something like that - if i owned, i would put in a cat flap, and have no problems, but i cant Just wanted to make sure it wont make them sick - they are only in if i am in, so i can keep an eye on them most of the time!
  17. nope. the dogs can still get into them - i no longer use them, but they have broken into them before
  18. that wouldnt stop them pandii - guess i am going to have to go and pay money for a proper baby gate (just checked this one over and it has a break in the top - that is how they are through it )
  19. Whats the fun in that? Atleast most of you admitted to looking! hmm... Guess i better get a link to it and post in here (Griff - happy? This is the 20 000th post !!! - I need a life ) LOOK HERE: : : http://forums.dogzonline.com.au/index.php?showtopic=104520
  20. In my old house the kitty litter was in the laundry, i had a cat flap in the door so the dogs couldnt get there - At this new place, I am renting and cant put one in. I have put a baby gate up. The Ferals have learnt to get over it, and have been snacking on cat litter When I can I shut the laundry door when dogs are in, but the cats are always in and out, so I put the gate up and try to keep an eye on the dogs. Can cat poop make them sick at all? I clean it as soon as they go - but sometimes i dont notice it and the Ferals get it first. The cat litter is natural stuff, so I am not too worried about that. Stupid dogs, Going to have to start looking for some kind of table i can put in there to keep the litter on.
  21. oh, sorry, i just saw this Dunno, I was pet sitting a dog and it had a collar on,wondered what it felt like.... and well, :p
