    Farewell

I am so very sorry to read this So very sad for you all I hope having Mahli home eases some of your pain and know that we are always thinking of you
  5. Just had something similar happen with a litter of rescue pups The quietest one at 5-6 weeks is now the most dominant at 7-8 weeks The most dominant at 5-6 weeks is now the most laid back and adjusted The loudest at 5-6 weeks in now the quiet one
  6. If the owner surrendered the dog to the pound no NOI has to be issued The dog then belongs to pound and they can do with it as they wish
  7. Depends on the breeder Alot of breeders put time and effort into their puppies and while 8-14 weeks is a crucial age, I do think a breeder would be able to socialise correctly I would not bring a puppy home at 8 weeks to leave them alone all day while I am working or going through a major project
  8. Nothing to add other than he is bloody cute
  9. It is not better for her immune system Wait until she is 10 weeks if she was done at 6 weeks, then get her done again at 14 weeks then 1 year old
  10. Sorry to read that Ollie has been unwell again I too always come in and check up on how he is going He is a fighter SL and you are both so lucky to have eachother
  11. Vaccinating again now will give her no immunity as she was only vaccinated a week ago I recommend vaccinting at 6-10 weeks, 10-14 weeks and 14-18 weeks Each Vaccination should be given 4 week apart Then again at 1 year, 3 years, 5 years
  12. I am currently handraising some Shar Pei pups on a Goats Milk Formula I was given of 250ml goats milk, 1 egg yolk, 2 tablespoons yogurt, 1 teaspoon honey and pentavite They went straight from Mum onto this after trying Biolac and Wombaroo which they refused They are now 4 weeks, so been on this for 1.5 weeks We watered down 3/4 milk to 1/4 water then reduced the water amount But none have had problems other than some Corona but that is due to the pound not the milk I will always use goats milk now, it is closer to a bitches milk
  13. How did he go? I would recommend a vet visit just in case and maybe a dose of Baycox, but talk this over with your vet
  14. Feed her after you eat, not with you or before, you are top of the pack and she eats last I use the spray bottle, teaches them fast, unless they like water LOL
  15. Pugs are a totally different kettle of fish to other breeds, they are happy go luck dogs who really are easy to handle I think Pug siblings would still be work I rehome puppies often and I would never ever rehome 2 pups together and quite frankly for a breeder to do it aswell is irresponsible Yes the dogs have eachother, but they never learn to be their own dog
  16. Try putting 2 peppermint leaves in their raw mix every day I find it helps with my Shar Pei, does not stop the fart, but you can remain in the room with your hand over your nose LOL
  17. I too cannot beleive it has been a year Keep harrassing in heaven Fergy the way you did on earth
  18. So sorry to hear of the passing of Lucinda I too have followed her story over the last few years So sad to loose your heart dog Run free Lucinda
  19. I have been using Glide for my Shar Pei boy with HD and joint problems He is much more mobile and not as stiff on it as he was on Joint Guard
  20. Demodex can be hereditary It is very common in Shar Pei, some breeds like Staffies too are more prone to it A C5 vaccination can lower the dogs immunity to the mites already living on thier skin I did not have a problem with my dog and demodex until I C5 Vaccinated and he had a allergic reaction He has not been C5 vaccinated since

    Puppy Walking

Unless your puppy is two weeks past his third vaccination he should not be walking down any streets Lead train him at home in your yard and carry him on the street
  22. 6 weeks in NSW 8 Weeks from Registered Breeders
  23. So sorry for your loss of so many little ones just starting on their life's journey May that play forever at the bridge
  24. Some roosters can cause a huge amount of damage when they attack. They dig their spurs in and rip. Very nasty stuff and not something to laugh at (no matter how funny it sounds). This is why cock fighting exists and why it is so cruel. Still pretty funny, even chickens can be pretty mean. Granted I doubt they'd cause that kind of damage. Imagine sitting with mates drinking. "Yeah, got attacked by a chook last week... Was in the hospital for days" Wrong I was sitting in a hospital waiting room a few years ago after my son had broken his leg A lady was rushed through covered in blood looking like she had just gone through a barbed wire fence We ended up in the same waiting room and she had been attacked by a rooster She had over 100 stitches
  25. What a wonderful tribute you have written about such an amazing girl Heart dogs are so special and leave us so empty when they go
