don't worry dogdude, Cooper hasn't been to training for months yes due to work commitments over the busy and silly season, poor coop has had to entertain the troops instead of training for trails should be rather interesting to see how he performs :D lest you have a good excuse -

Hi i have an Aussie that i need to get up to scratch for the show ring.... I want to know from people that have similar breeds and fur type, what products you use?? I have a blk tri Aussie who has minimal copper and want a product that will brighten all his colouring, what do you thing would be worth trying??? My boy also has dry fur on his back end at the moment, which i have been using baby oil, leave- in container sprays etc to help get rid of the dryness, is there any thing else i should try using?? He also had had a case of inflamed feet due to a grass reaction, which is on the mend, but has left his fur between his pads stained as well as the products i am using to clear his feet up with has been leave-in the tops of his feet off colour alittle, i do bath his feet in fidos whiting shampoo, but is there any thing better??? (his feet are white). what can i use to give his legs more body?? what can i use to keep fly away hairs on his rump under control?? Also want to know where are some of the best online sites to buy show products??

I personally think it steams from wild canine instincts. I have a Dingo and he is always ON TOP of something, including the roof of our Ute :D ;) if you have ever seen, wolves, dingoes etc at zoos or sanctuaries, they always have something to get up on top of and like to be up high and on the look out . Also you will see in the wild alot of canines build their dens on the side of hills so they have a good few of what is around them. And of cause the famous picture of the wolf howling away standing on top of a hill or a mountain top I think supermindy has got it..... .As we have seen from most posts on this thread it seems to be common with kelpies, well as we all no they are part Dingo :D

i have a question?????? on sat and sun, if i chose to bring a dog, does that mean bring a dog that has problems, or can i bring my dog that may not have any issues to be fixed?????? does that make sence Also am considering bringing Tya my dingo, if he is aloud, would love to talk more about drive with him, and what you guys think of him too (he is a well behaved, trained dingo, that is also good with other dogs, just in case you are worried) I am interested in coming mainly because i own a pet care care business as well as a trainer and am involved in dog sports. thanks Sam -
Robatife BCs...... i just PMed you

maybe consider looking into Doggy Day-Care, 1 or 2 days a week......this may help break the routine your dog has got into and can even improve behavior. Not to metion getting out and burning off that puppy energy, playing and having fun with dogs at a similar level.....basically using that energy for good not bad behavior I get alot of people contact me with the same problem, some times training etc just isn't enough to keep those bad behaviors at bay You will be amazed how quick their behavior can change buy simply having a big change in their routine...

you could put a ramp with good grip over the top of the steps, this will help the dog walk up easier. as for drugs etc.....best to talk to a vet and see what they suggest. Also maybe try giving the dog glucosamine tablets? ( thing that what there called) arthritic health food tablets. human type are safe for doggies.

I am in class 5, and on some days i have a intructor to myself.....most of the time theirs about 5 or 6 in this class, we tend to do lots of ring work too, which is great. hope to see you down there sam

How Do You Slow A Fast Eating Dog Down?
wagalot replied to julesluvscavs's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
yep get a nice big smooth rock and put on top of the dogs dinner, they have to move the rock around to get to the food. can pick up nice big rock from hardware stores etc also try halving the dogs dinner and feed half in the morning and half at night -
ok .....my thoughts, ...kintas pack is made up of, you ( head of the pack), then your dad, then Leo, then Kinta and last your mum. why is your mum at the bottom, well she lacks the knack of training and guidance, which of cause comes mostly from you. by making your mum give kinta commands, this is causing friction and and frustration between them both. Kinta has learned that when you train her, she gets pleasure form pleasing you and is happy to try her hardest to please you, but when your mum tells her to do something, she has not gained any thing from your mum in the passed, so why would she feel the need to do as she told. (and i am not talking about food rewards) if your mum has asked kinta to sit for her dinner and she does not do it, your mums body language changes as well as the frustration vibes, which kinta would be picking up on, this is causing her to rethink and chose not to obey, as she does feel those happy vibes that you would normally have. there is not much you can do, if your mum does not have the right knack nor interest in training dogs like your self, you can't go any further in that area. As far as kinta in concerned, just tell your mum to give her a simple sit then eat, nothing else, if she takes off or refuses to eat on command, your mum needs to ignore this behavior a walk away, leaving kinta and her bowel of food. If leo is present, and has already eaten, take him inside and leave her on her own, until she eats.....then tell your mum when realizes that kinta has eating, let leo out and praise her for eating. don't expect your mum to stand there and keep trying to make her sit wait, drop realise etc etc this in fine for you do it, you can maybe see how dad goes with the routine, but keep it simple and of cause keep it happy. she is still a baby and theres lots to learn in life for a young girl give her time and lots of exposure, make her face her fears but in a suttle way, and don't sook her when she is sacred, she will grow out of it if you stay positive. and give her a big cuddle from arnty sam hope that some help its not easy putting it to writing but hopefully you understand what i am saying sam
