  1. i agree with buddy1 - i don't worry about a clear discharge, but green often does indicate an infection. I'd go to the vet just in case.
  2. With a stethoscope i can usually hear them from around week 7
  3. We have vets in my area advising their clients (particularly those with larger breeds) to have this surgery, even when the hips are excellent. This is such a concern as people want to do what is best for their puppies and trust their vet to do the right thing. I also have a long discussion with my puppy people regarding this, but will also print out the recommendation by Penn Hip to include in my puppy pack.
  4. aawwww, i've only just noticed this Bub. Happy birthday Bitty!! You are so lucky to have such a loving family and a handsome big brother to spend your days with I hope you shared some of your birthday cake with Bubby!
  5. I had a bird once who i initially called Flubber (Fat little ugly bird with 'ber' on the end). I felt sorry for him when he started to mature and looked lovely, so called him Poncho
  6. Could just be puppy pimples, but often there aren't as many LOL. Just keep an eye on them in case they become infected, but otherwise they should clear in a week or so.
  7. Thanks for the recommendations guys. I'll pass them on!
  8. Hi everyone, Can anybody recommend a good vet in Ballarat? I have a puppy going to a family who live in Mount Helen (their yard backs onto the university). Feel free to PM me and thanks in advance!
  9. same... to book annual leave with work and cancel if she's not pregnant
  10. Thanks Hawksdale. that could be an issue as she is being super fussy with her food. It sounds as if things are improving on the milk front now anyway so i'm hoping we don't need anything else. Loving everyone's puppy pics!

  21. Wooo hoooo! My other girl, Izzy, who is co-owned with a friend, had 8 babies overnight - 6 girls and 2 boys. My friend is having this litter so i didn't mention her here initially, but couldn't resist sharing the news  . Iz has been on progesterone since around week 4 as her levels were a little low, and had a few issues overnight with delivering the pups, but she made it in the end
  22. I'm so sorry to hear that jr_inoz. You must be devastated. I'm glad your girl will be ok though. RIP little puppies armahani: Congratulations on your babies - sounds like you've had a stressful day too, but glad it ended up well.

  24. 6 for me too - i had an even number of each, so 3 of each is my guess!
