So very sorry for your loss Anne May she rest in peace now

Good to hear you have this hurder under control now. Hope he stays well for you

Thanks very much for that. The mince I get is ground up chicken stuff and it still has wingtips through it, as well as some liver pieces and vegies, that kind of thing. Any kind of multi vitamin, childs?

My 15 month old Rottweiler is a little east-west, but it's just a touch. It was quite bad when he was younger but has since straightened up considerably...he is 100% straight when he pulls himself together alert at something. He is currently on Bonnie Working dog and getting chicken wings/drum sticks, some fruit occasionally, mince with vegies in it and sometimes natural yoghurt. I have tried my dogs on full barf and my GSD did very poorly on it and I didn't see any difference in the Rotty so I've gone back to the Bonnie. What should I change about the diet (apart from barf) to try and straighten that front up a little more?

Oh wow, Kovu is on there! Congratulations to all the winners. That leash pulling after photo is amazing, fantastic job

Premium Dog Foods...too Expensive!

Have you tried Satin Balls? OMG, I am usually the first person to recommend them to others but didn't think of it for myself, doh! Thanks for that, it's important that he throws on the weight so I'll give them a go -
No you have to correct it while the puppy is still in the growth stage Thank you
-
Can you correct this at an older age?

Premium Dog Foods...too Expensive!

that's what I need on Daegon. Just checked the bank account and it's looking very hungry...no Barko this fortnight, and by next week it'll be too late to put the fat on him. Will smother everything in cat food so he hopefully eats more -

Not worried about smaller sizes, that's excellent value for money, even better than the Bonnie Working Dog I have both on at the moment. Will have to keep Bonnie for Kovu, he gives the filthiest look if there is something other than Bonnie in his bowl So when you say it's added weight to your dogs, you mean you can feel more fat over the ribs? That's what I need on Daegon, a really good covering of fat on him so he's good to go for conditioning training. -

Ellz, I need to put about 3-4kg of fat onto Daegon as quickly as is possible and healthy, but I'm having SO much trouble getting him to eat more food...would the Barko work do you think? Where are you getting it from? -

Is My Boxer X Mastiff Underweight?
shekhina replied to ls_l's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Don't go too much on actual weight...you should be able to see a waist line. Please don't try to put weight on a healthy puppy. Puppies, particularly large breed puppies, NEED to be kept lean to keep the strain off their continually growing joints. -
Is My Boxer X Mastiff Underweight?

Bonnie do have a puppy food, although I only used it once. I have chosen Bonnie Working Dog over the Adult Complete because the Complete formula has changed to using chicken and grains. Working dog is still based on roo meat. -

OMG, boxagirl I'm so sorry! What a shock

I got both of mine from an animal warehouse

Daegon's ears are always taped, I change it whenever the stickiness wears off or Kovu has kindly chewed it off for him. The tape I use is Leukoplast and you can get it from any chemist. It's a bugger of a tape to work with but it does provide good results, Daegon is only taped up all the time because his ears were left too late to give permanent results
-
That's fantastic news Jodie :D
-
That's a shame about Fergus, but at least he's on the right track Should be there next week, but not sure what will be happening with Agility as Daegon just isn't keen on it at all and it's on at the same time as grade two

Woohoo! From what I could see in her latest photo she looks lovely
