awww poor baby,, hope u get some answers. you have done everything u can for her shoey dont feel bad. guess id be questioning the specialist tho, if it has happenend this soon again.. but i guess its something they cant put a time frame on either..

yep they are good for that kind of stuff.. overall im very happy with my club, and i think its a great idea that instructor attend and give them much credit for the dedication and hard work they put in..

one thing for my club especially.. there is a lot of child handlers.. i think maybe having a kids group only would benefit them.. i know its hard to get instructors. and one that can really relate to kids. often in the class there is a younger child, and they spend most of the time explaining to the kids what XXXX means etc.perhaps a shorter class for them as well. also to break it up a bit with general tips , care, grooming and games , would also be great for the kids. i think often they find it boring or not really interested. but i admire them for keeping at it and coming back week after week.. more training and seminars for the instructors.. all tho i think mine are great more fun days games ect.. and introducing things such as ,, lawn mowers bikes ( big scary things)..lol

absoloutly dougie , im the same... years ago i took my first lab girl to puppy pre school at the vet,, silly me didnt think anything of it and thougth i was doing the right thing,, pup ended up in hospaital with a tummy bug,, boy did they make money out of me,, puppy school then treatment..lol my stafford boy went to puppy preschool. 5 in a class at our obed club.. its in a soccer clubroom, no other dogs go there,, every pup must have had first vacc.. i know this doesnt always guarantee nothing will go wrong but it minimises the chances i guess it was very well run, pups are taught basic manners how to intereact and some very basic commands . sit come ect, but focusing more on socialisation..( plenty of time for obedience later). with 2 instructors to make sure pups are not overwhelmed and jumped all over... owners were given lots of info, on how to toilet train and general manners, care etc..

i really should get some vids of my lot.. i love doing the hiding recall,,lol i put remy in down stay,, walk off to a room and then recall.. its funny sometimes he goes to wrong room to look for me..lol im so mean.. loving all these videos guys , keep em coming

good work shoey hes very enthusiastic isnt he.. so good to see a dog work that loves it. when i train at home in backyard i use toys and a tug game or throw something for him at end of session and his reward is play.

we have had a little bit of a break from more formal training, but still do daily stuff.. such as working on manners and your basic everyday stuff. i think you never really get a break you cant turn them off and just leave them there. or they will go mad..lol

words can not describe.this old girl .. she has incredible strength dignity and pride and touched so many, she remided me of my old ACD girl who im sure wil be running round looking out for each other keeping all our angels in line,, dodge will show her around too and be a big goof ball, but be so gentle and charming for her. its never easy to make that decision,, you did a brave and wonderfull thing for her she has taken that with her and will never forget , just as you will never forget her and always have her memory with you.. thinking of you all hedds mr hedds banj... RIP sweet jemmie girl run free and look down on us.... you are in a safe place where the pantry door is always open ( for treats) you can have whatever you like and dont let anyone tell you any different... can just hear her now.. bark bark bark.... u tell em girl !!

not sure whats in ballarat myself,, but blackdog sell online if u can wait for postage etc.. i prefer the i clicks, but they have both types ,, love blackdog stuff

you beat me to it sway,, first thing i thought...apart from the slipping on concrete,, if your going to waste your creek water maybe do it on the lawn where it will be of some beneift. i know its hot but save your water,, put her in a little pool bucket the water over her if u want her to chase it...

hopefully we will make it,, if its not to hot and muggy, and provided i have my car back..lol

we lovvveeee our blackdog treat bag.. . i use a insert with mine so it can be taken out and washed or wiped clean.. i use anything that i have , usualy with roast meats, chicken, sausages or any type of meat i save a bit put in freezer then i always have some sort of treat ready for training.. cut up in tiny pieces.. hot dogs work well,as does cabana, ham ,cheese

yeahh i think ill get down earlier and do some " training" .. then playtime..lol

mine get sardines in oil 2 sometimes 3 times per week.. on dry ( eaglepack or nutrience).. other days ..frames wings... or whatever other meat is going .. i probably wouldnt feed them every day as i have heard to much fish isnt good also the salt content would worry me.. used to feed fish oil caps but they just played with them so i stopped and think the sardines is enough..

well , now you have some answers, hopefully she will improve and be much happier.. it can be really nasty stuff, i know my mum had it in her garden and my ACD suffered badly from it,, going back a few years now tho. good luck in getting rid of it,, get some professional advise on how to, as i know the stuff grows like mad,, and just pulling it out may not get rid of it all.. as someone else said,, maybe u can fence of the area if possible too..

im pretty sure that is your culprit there wandering dew , nasty stuff. good luck hope your girl feels better soon

welcome to the world of labradors.. they will eat anythng and everything without chewing.lol he will be fine.. u could as others have said chop them up into smaller pieces , or smash them with a meat hammer.. necks are a gret source of calcium and a good addition to the diet , he will learn,, maybe (in a year or 2) that its not his last meal and he may even taste it and not eat it whole, dont throw them out . he may throw it back up just keep an eye on him and of course we will need heaps of pics.. welcome to the forum...

i agree also,, of course you will need obedience and some training for the dog,, nothing is a quick fix.. its a trianing tool and should be used as one properly...

have to agree with you tehre mel. i have used both black dog halters with success.. i find the infin8 much better as said its more like martingale style collar with a nose strap.. is very affective and gives great controll.. i used it on my lab boy who was a lunger also... eventually worked him down to a flat collar still some lunging occasionally over excitment was just a leap out the door etc... not lunging at other dogs.... i often used 2 leads 1 connected to the flat collar so no pressue on the infin8 , he just knew it was there.., i recomend them and love blackdog stuff

my old border collie , had one of the big lumps one day,, it turned out to be a grass seed,, left a huge nasty lump and hole very red and raw looking with pussy stuff too
