In regards to the helpers, they may get more offers if they show some sort of appreciation. I offered to ticket write on Friday & done two groups, didn't even get a thank you. I know they're busy, but writing tickets while showing is a tough job. Apart from that, I love these shows & think the 4 show idea is fantastic :)

I was going to hang around for specials, but it was too warm so I left before group 7 was finished. Didn't win anything spectacular, but had a lovely couple of days! Great shows, always well run & I had my Maffra bakery pie fix, lol.

I live 40 minutes away and was worried because we were flooded at home yesterday. It's beautiful here! Nice & dry & sunny :)

I hope everyone stays as warm as they can today, it's a little chilly outside! I'm only entered Saturday & Sunday, my first shows in 5 months, can't wait!! :D I only hope I can find a spot when I get there in the morning, those sheds fill up pretty quick.. I supposed to be ticket writing, so would be a pain if I had to sit out in the weather, or in the car.

Yes, but they generally won't let you use those tickets to get into the dog section in the early morning, you have to wait and go in through the front gates. Not much help if your breed is first on. I've used bought tickets just about every year for either me or my mum, as we usually only enter one or two dogs, and we've never had any problems getting in early.

I've not heard of them, but from what I read & seen, I'm not sure they are breeding to the ANKC standard, but to their personal taste. Not saying they're bad, just that your boy may be very different to what is being shown. It's a shame you're not in Vic, we have some big Terrier shows this weekend, and the Am Staff specialty show is on Saturday. It would be a great opportunity to meet & talk to breeders and see what their dogs look like.

Those results were for Fridays show. Akita was baby in show on Friday.

Absolutely ok! 2 years is not old for a JRT, my girl still happily shows in veterans on the odd occasion, and she is 11 :laugh:
