Alright that's it, I'm out, I refuse to wear bike shorts Other competitors would be thankful for that I did wear trackies over the bike pants would be to embarrassed to just wear bike pants. Lets face it not much looks good in Lycra Did feel that i waddled like a duck when wearing them espically during the obedience/willingness test

I did an Endurance Test last year and started training 3 months before, I gradually increased the distance to about 5/7 ks a day at a speed of 10ks per hour, Riley was taken swimming once a week and would swim for about 15/20 mins . He was trained on 3 surfaces and I also conditioned his pads daily. We also walked a minimum of 2.5ks daily. He passed the test with flying colors. Invest in a good comfy bike seat and bike shorts help you bum lots to. Good luck

Hi Pointees. I have used the Eco Pet rolls and had no problems, they are great for putting on weight too well they pit weight on the springers Also used the roll at a kennels i used to work and and all the dogs loved them. Hope this helps springdog

Thank you I will try this powder, seems that a few people use it successfully. I see on the groomers website it says its for mites and hair removal, does it really help with yeast too? I use it on my Springers and I have 1 boy who in the past has suffered from both yeast and bacterial infections he was treated at the vets for initially, once the infection cleared I have been using Thornit's Powder as a maintenance treatment no infections for about 2.5 years. My dogs are on a wheat free diet. Also my daughters dog gets yeast infections and she also uses Thornits and it clears up in a couple of days. Hope this helps and hope that it helps your dog.

Oh bugger trust a Springer to be difficult, Boston used to get yeast and bacterial infections in both ears, at one stage he had puss oozing from his ears and I had alot of problems trying to get rid of it, he had to have gentamyocin (not sure how to spell it) injections to clear it up which thankfully it did, he would also present with rods, horrible things. Hope that Cleo gets better soon.

Hi Liz, I also have Springers and have had ear problems with 1 of my boys, he had reoccurring ear infections and it was driving me crazy. Nothing seemed to help and the cost was getting over the top. I now can say he has not had any problems for the last 2 years, I changed his diet to a wheat free dry, he now has Advance Turkey and Rice & raw chicken frames, I also treat his ears with Thornits Powder which is available from Groomers products, just google either groomers products or Lynmar Agencies, they are based in Vic and will post to you. The Thornit Powder is fantastic. Have a look at his diet too as this can contribute, wheat is a big problem. Hope this helps springdog
