20/20 Clinics And Hip Scoring

 Share

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know when the next 20/20 clinic will be held in Victoria?

Also (mainly for Victorians) does anyone use the Werribee vets for hip/elbow scoring or does everyone use Dr Wyburn?

If you have/havent use the Werribee vets what is your opinion of them, and are (or why arent) they held in the same esteem as Dr Wyburn?

TIA

I have had 2 dogs xrayed and scored at Werribee University vets and was happy with them. You can, I believe get eyes tested there too. I got Chazer done locally only because I couldn't take the time to travel when I wanted to get his hips scored. I sent the xrays to Dr Wyburn because they are the ones who answered the phone and told me how to get the form and what details were required on the xrays (Werribee had an answering machine on at the time).

I think Monash vets do hip scoring as well - and they do penn hip.

I've not had xrays done at Werribee simply because my own vet does an excellent job and is much closer.

I do send my xrays to Dr Wyburn for reading. My only reason for this is because I figure if I use the same person to score all my xrays there is continuity in the scores.

Ray at Monash is quite specialised and has done a lot of hard work with Penn Hip.

You can get your Vet to do the DNA swab and send it to GTG asking for it to be held until next batching day.

I have the GTG stuff at work...dunno if you want to travel that far though.

I have hips done at Monash by Ray. Can't speak highly enough of them.

Food for thought, a friend had hips xrayed and scored at monash on a bitch she was leasing. Person who owned the bitch asked for xrays to be sent to wyburn to scored as well. Ray scored harder than Wyburn.
