Hi, Congrats on your new camera, the pics are awesome!n you will have an absolute ball playing!! I got my 50mm 1.8 (inspired by DOL) and I love it, not pricey and a very versatile little lense. My Nikon came with a kit lense the 18 - 135 but I decided to get an 18-250 tamron, cause I didn't wanna fork out the extra 400-500 bucks for the same in the nikon, wish I had of now. I hhate the Tamron and always seem to go back to the kit lense and it annoys me so much. The pics just don't seem as good a quality which doens't make sense really. Will be interested to see how you find the Tamroon once you have used it for a while!!

Shell, what you upgrading too??

Sorry to gatecrash but just wondering if anyone knows if you can get the Canon EOS 450 or 550D with a macro lense as one of the lenses in the bundle?

As far as I am aware, I don't think you can...

Oh poos! :) Macros are pricey LOL

If you want to get a macro though you don't want the kind of quality that often accompanies lens kits. You want really decent quality as it's really important with those lenses.
