Bartok Posted November 30, 2011 Share Posted November 30, 2011 We go there every day He is just being a pain, he is probably the man who was taking pics of ppl doing u turns in front of his house to park on the other side of the road outside the park. the park is set back from the road. A good 30-40m i reckon I doubt the noise level could be that high Granted it might be on a quiet Sunday morning, but every other day that road has alot of traffic on it. Of an afternoon there arent many dogs that bark and those that do are generally just playing and most ppl are out of there by dinner time. I know 2 of the ppl directly opposite the park and they both use the park for their dogs and one of them is a breeder of bulldogs or something so Im sure his yard would generate just as much noise as the park Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I am a constant at this park, I let my girl run and play with her ball and socialise. Generally there are very little hassles, it is a highly used park with alot of different dogs and owners who come in and yes there is the occasional incident. On Saturday my girls paw was sliced open from a bottle that had been smashed inside the park... it disgusts me that people can do this. There is also an alert out to other people to be cautious due to what happened to my girl. She is now on bed rest and has been since Saturday with antibiotics and painkillers. Yep - i would have to agree that is quite a big sporting oval with lots of sports going on esp in winter.. A few local people have made that comment too.. While I sympathise with the residents (having lived opp a sports oval AND daycare centre) the noise that Sunday was minimal - although as I have said I can;t comment on the lead up to this - BUT surely there are better methods of reasoning with people than threatening to bait Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

They generate the same amount of noise, if not more. People threaten dogs because they know there won't be serious consequesces (as demonstrated by the rangers and police replies). As the flyer idea was scotched and I can't get down there till the weekend I was worried that poeple wouldn't be aware of his threats.... at least i can relax now knowing that people are spreading the word and being vigilant.. Emma Mae -that is just awful about the smashed bottle - there are some really revolting people out there...
