Patterdale Terrier

With regards to the Patterdale, the ones I knew were owned by a guy who used them for rabbiting back home - tough little buggers  but they look nothing like a staffy cross.

That's what the smooth coated Patterdales remind me of.

Pics here

I see what PF means. Here is a pic of my boy when he was young

In the flesh though, they are much wirier dogs body wise. I love the look of the wire coated ones though. I am sure they are great little dogs.

If that little chap were to end up in a pound and not chipped, he'd probably be listed as a Staffy cross.

The smooth coated ones looked gorgeous, but solid like staffy crosses.

This blog is worth a look through for anyone interested in Patterdales - BeAnne could be the widest known Patterdale there is, with quite an international following.

Helps that her owner is an excellent photographer with a great sense of humour.

Edit to add this one, it's from their earlier blog on a different carrier.

Play the little vid.

(There are some of her puppy photos somewhere on this one as well).

Mine is a staffy cross, I posted it to show what PF meant.

The dogs on the link are probably much smaller.

Oh - LOL. Yes the smooth coated ones looked quite small, but still Staffyish. Shame they are so energetic. I'm at the couch potatoe stage :D
