  2. There's an old thread with a link. Is this the breed?
  3. Today
  4. Not necessarily. If my dogs need to toilet in the night, I put them outside for a few minutes. At 3.30 am, I would very likely leave them outside while I made myself a hot drink. And if I had brachy-breed dogs, I might start my day at 3am in summer so that they had an opportunity to explore the yard and go for a walk before it became too hot. I wouldn’t put them outside in the the front yard of an urban block, but I’m very risk averse and maybe her back yard is too steep or otherwise unsuitable for pugs.
  5. Hey guys i was trying to find any wirehaired pointing griffons breeders here in australia, not state selective i’m happy to get him shipped/pick him up if i need to but i was just curious as to whether or not we have any breeders in australia/new zealand?
  6. My question is why is an 11 year old pug outside at 3:30am? Why are both pugs outside at 3:30am for that matter? No excuse for them being stolen, but concerning nonetheless. T.

  8. Interesting decision, while reading about dog behavior on mybernadoodle.com I realized how many factors can affect cases like this
  9. Maybe they aren't as in favour anymore because as they get older and grumpier you have to be careful of your ankles. As a kid, you learned who to be careful of and dogs didn't get killed if they looked at you wrong. These days, everywhere, no matter what the breed and their inherent drive is, a dog's instinct is judged against the community expectations. My Pop always had his favourites to get the cattle jobs done. Horse, Heeler, Kelpie.
  10. Last week
  11. The only declared dangerous dog I've seen in my neighbourhood is a Labrador. It attacked a cat on the cat owner's property.
  12. I've a neighbour with a golden retriever, he warranted a dangerous dog labelling, old age eliminated the danger finally
  13. I wonder if the outcome would have been the same if Dozer was not a Labrador?
  14. Wonder if Arnie was a victim of domestic violence by proxy. Wouldn't be the first time a house pet has been killed as a result of a failing partnership. I feel sorry for the children who will have to go to school knowing that, at least on social media, half the country wants to lynch their father.
  15. That man - I have been imagining all sorts of punishments for him. No excuse .
  16. Yes a friend said that after reading the courier mail article. Imagine being his poor wife and discovering all this about your partner. Could've been a normal Friday night out for him. I bet his defence is a secret drug or alcohol problem that caused him to make very poor decisions that night. But if you are still physically capable of finding/planning and engaging at a brothel you are capable of remembering you have a living thing with you in the car. He didn't just happen to accidentally park outside a brothel - that shows cognisance still at that point even if he continued drinking after.
  17. A salacious article: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-15308449/Arnie-German-shepherd-brothel-claim.html?utm_social_handle_id=164305410295882&utm_social_post_id=584461104&ito=social-facebook&fbclid=IwY2xjawONRnRleHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETFiQlBVSm9IVVBIUlhDVHltc3J0YwZhcHBfaWQQMjIyMDM5MTc4ODIwMDg5MgABHgjcYP0hoqk9I0mb2O3e4_GeDfq5Hgo4bOJPX7Z1ixQi2PeItWpVYVuK5EEI_aem_ZzoGUxDcBc0QfoflsRlE7Q . What else is there in Fortitude Valley at night?
  18. Cattle dogs get a bad reputation with some farmers because their high energy and strong herding instincts can become a problem if they aren’t trained or managed properly

  20. Is is going to be as enforced as the microchipping? Last I looked over 75% of lost dogs aren't chipped.... so minimum 75% who bred them are not registered breeders. Don't chip and .ost likely don't vaccinate and never have and never will be pocta assessed....... Meanwhile less and less are going to remain registered breeders and less and less prepared to become one.....
  21. An update: Police have charged Arnie's owner for abandoning him in the car. What a lowlife! ABC News
  22. I'd like that ******** to be left locked in a car for a week.
