Collections for Charitable Purposes Overview The Collections for Charitable Purposes Act 1939 regulates fundraising activities conducted for a "charitable purpose" as defined in the Act. My nan got an 8 month old dog from rescue 2 years ago [cross bred SWF], and she's 88 this year. Still sprightly and has no problems looking after her dog.

I guess in regards to Moorook, I empathised a lot, as I was on the receiving end of a vexatious report about my horse [back when she was having trouble with a hoof abscess]. All was ok though with the RSPCA, ended up having a good yak to her about many other things [she was quite nice]. But it made me reserved about talking to anyone when ailments arised :\ and this was done by a malicious member of the family too

I've only heard of 3 of them, and now I thought C.A.T.S inc were ok doing subsidised cat sterilization [well was led to believe that's what they do, heard about them years ago back in the 90s]

I try not to be harsh as would hate to be in that predicament. I'd always believed Moorook were doing good [had never been up there though so was going on the say so of others...my cousin got a kelpie x from there late last year], but now, I'm still not sure exactly - but from what I've been reading here mainly...there is genuine cause for concern. Have to let the justice system take care of it.

The RSPCA seldom lose in court...unless they don't by some weird twist of fate. I give them 10 points for having faith, but I don't think this will end the way they're hoping it will.

I did, because I'm nosy. Can set it up so they don't appear in your newsfeed, just make a new interest and add them to it. Then just click and read when you want to. Once it's all over can just delete it all. Doesn't stop things appearing in the right hand ticker, but tbh I seldom read that.

I did caution a supporter on the Adelaide Now page about going off when a court case is coming up as it can be detrimental to the shelter [although at this stage, I think it's past detrimental and halfway down the passage]. Did quieten down some there.

I think the 'supporters' going off half cocked have been instrumental in proceedings [if they are taking place]. The rudeness and profanities have been off putting [even by my standards], especially on other sites. There's ways and means of doing things and well they've been going about it all wrong

Very easy to make typos, so I tend not to pick on people who do make them. But in this instance I couldn't stop myself, as it was rather ironic. Most of the time I gloss over them and read errors as the word they're meant to be, but that one just stuck out like veritable dog's jatz crackers :)
