  1. Hope all is going well Chocolate Hesa - I am pretty much the same. Have two prospective buyers interested in two of the puppies but have advised them that I will not be making any decisions until pups are around the 7-8 week mark. We have little eyes starting to open here and they are all using their "wobbly boots" they look like little drunk people at the moment
  2. What a fantastic video Such a beautiful tribute to what love can achieve.
  3. rajacadoo - are your eyes hanging out of your head from fatigue yet? When that happens, she will start whelping Am sure all will be well when they start arriving.
  4. What a clever girl - baking them out in the sun Hope all goes well with the whelping
  5. Oh newfiesrus congratulations and hope all goes well next week.
  6. Good luck BB - hope all goes well with your litter.
  7. Cavalblaze - I don't wean until the pups seem like they are not getting enough off mum or she is getting tired of feeding them. If she still has a good supply, would let them go until 4 weeks. I started weaning one litter around 3-4 weeks and then the bitch showed sygns of not being well, the vet told me to put the pups back on her and she was fine again. Think I finally started weaning around 5 weeks.
  8. I use heat wheat bags instead of hot water bottles as they don't go "cold" like hot water bottles do when they lose their heat. Mercedes - very cute babies
  9. Hi All, sorry that I haven't been around much but have been having a few troubles here with the babies. Sadly the day after they were born, I had to make a dash to the vet with my bitch and babies. One of the little boys (4.3oz) was not doing very well. I sadly made the decision to let him go to rainbow bridge. Then Tuesday, one of the other boys decided to drop weight so off to a friend to show how to tube feed. Still not good so off to the vet and he is now on antibiotics. He has picked up really well and is gaining weight daily. Congrats to all the new pups and to those who have had losses. In the photo, they are from left to right - girl, boy, boy, girl.
  10. Woohoo Hesa - glad everything went OK and you got two bi blacks
  11. OK quickly popped in with news - Kitty had 4 boys & 2 girls but one of the boys was born dead. Mum and kids are doing well. For a first time mum, she has really done well and was wanting to kiss & clean them as soon as they were born.
  12. Congratulations on the new additions Well, we have started the heavy panting stage here so looks like things will be happening later this morning. Will update when I can.
  13. So glad to hear that you can join us again Jed even if for a little while each day. Hope each day brings a little improvement in your injuries and know that we are all grieving with you over your loss.
  14. Ohhh how sweet Maybe you can make a list of items he MUST have
  15. Congrats Teamsnag - lovely piccies of the little ones. Cavalblaze - glad to hear that your litter are doing well also.
  16. Glad to hear that Mum & pups are settling and hope that pups continue to gain weight. I had a litter that came a week early - three live pups from seven. One boy was OK weight wise but the other two were tiny. I tried hand feeding and had them to the vets. The bitch was very unsettled and wouldn't stay in the whelping box with them. Unfortunately the two littlies didn't make it past two days. They were just too small. Once they passed away, the bitch finally relaxed and settled in to enjoy her singleton. I think they sometimes know a lot more than we do.
  17. Cavalblaze, do you have a breeder friend that you can call on to come and give you a hand? She needs to understand that she has to stay with the pups - sometimes it takes a day or so for the maternal instinct to sink in. Do hope the other pups pull through for you and sorry about the other that you lost
  18. Congratulations Cavalblaze Hope mum & babies continue to do well. Wow five girls - were you hoping for girls? Hope everyone else is travelling well. My girl seems to get a bit bigger every time I turn around. We have two weeks to go from today although vet also said she may go early. Nerves are starting to kick in
  19. Congratulations Was ringside to see and he is maturing very nicely. Moved beautifully and handled great by his young handler.
  20. It would also concern me that he was willing to sell the puppy at 7 weeks. Pups should not be sold until eight weeks of age or older. I think you had a right to be concerned with the health and breeding of this pup. Sounds like there would have been nothing but heartache if it had been brought home.
  21. Newfiesrus - will keep fingers crossed for you for the 7th June. Sounds encouraging by the signs that you mentioned.
  22. Has she shown any other signs that she may be in whelp? Have her nipples become pinker? Has she thickened around her waist? If she didn't take till the last mating then she would be just over three weeks. I would go again in maybe two weeks for another if she has other signs. I do hope they have just made an error - have heard many times before of u/s being incorrectly read.
  23. Just wanted to say good luck to all that are going to be at Coffs triple on the weekend. Special thanks to Aziah & Sammy_Ballerina for helping transport the gazebo for me
