Thats fine I dont want to come anyway  Just jokes guys......i cant make it anyway as Im working stinking nightshift Sounds like you will all have a fantabulous time :D Enjoy!!!
  2. What beautiful dogs I wish my OH was a bully fan as I would love one or some
  3. Cute little tyke looks exactly like my previous Kelpie X when she was a pup!! She was Kelpie X Border Collie X ACD .....Beautiful dog
  4. Thanks for that. Interesting stuff! Youll see quite a number of BC x Kelpies at WA sheepdog trials! Mirawee, didnt know you had got yourself a copy!! Mine sits on the coffee table so everytime I walk past I see that beautiful Merlin on the front cover it certainly has got a few months worth of reading in it thats for sure!! I wish I knew a little more about our little girls parentage, so I could see more of her ancestors Oh well, in the end its of no consequence really as I couldnt love her any more!!
  5. Ive used it with Zola Mas, but also discovered a product called PAW Probiotic, which is really great! I keep a jar in the frij for when Zola gets an upset tummy (which used to be more often than not!) You can also get sachets of probiotics, hmmm, cant remember what its called though! Hope your boy is better soon
  6. Yeh well I still dont know which camp I sit in on that one either fuzzy!!! Sometimes I see it, others I dont
  7. Is it really that simple????? I have also noticed when Im home by myself, it doesnt matter whether they eat before or after me, they stay on their beds!!! I wonder whether they see my OH as below them in the pack
  8. Hey Sky, Ive been thinking about this for a bit - which is why Im only just posting!! Does your Kelpie do any sort of exercise that involves sudden changes of direction or speed?? Is she a working dog, agility or jumping dog?? Those sorts of things, as well as exuberant play can cause soft tissue injuries! Other than that I dont know what else would cause this, unless it is something deeper, like a joint or tendon/ligament injury or disease!! I hope the poor thing gets better on the anti-inflams....I wouldnt be letting her jump up or off anything, at all!! Ive recently had our kelpie on very restricted activity due to a toe injury. All up I think she was kept quiet for almost six weeks, so it may take a while for your girl...Our girl is 8, so age doesnt help!! Do you know anyone that does Bowen Therapy?? Or chiropractic work?? I know when I had tennis elbow, my chiro helped alot
  9. Does anyone else observe this behaviour in their dogs?? If our two are fed before us, they will then try and hang around us while we eat (are sent to their beds of course!) and expect a morsel at the end! However if we eat first, they will stay on their beds and not bother us at all!!!!! This is not just a one off thing - Ive been conducting my own experiments and it happens every time!!
  10. Hmmmm, so is that something to do with being sick??? Your wanting to try Heelwork?? Or a genuine wonder Ill be heading to the Royal on one day....hopefully itll be a day when someone I know will be there!!
  11. Yep my sister has booked everything!!! What a legend! All we have to do know is wait............Ill PM you where we are staying if you like...What days are you going? RV, little Zora is soooooooo cute! Bet those little teeth are sharp though ..I hope Toby gets on with her & shes not too much of a ratbag for him!!
  12. I would SO love to head to Wicked with you guys, but alas, Im working NS that night ... Im sure it will be a fantastically wicked night (LOL) so ya'll have fun!! Ill be having my own fun in November as my sister and I are heading to EQUITANA I cant wait
  13. Im so sorry Jules I only found your posts tonight....What a terrible thing to go through. RIP Brock Please take care Jules..Im glad you have other critters to keep you company. Big Hugs
  14. Oh Dog, Rosie, I was hoping to see some at Equitana!!!! Please dont tell me its not to be!!! Will I be disappointed??? hee sorry i was being baaad! I have not seen east coast dressage for many years and i am sure it has improved. I just remember having WA syndrome where i was aiming for competing nationally (never got there, went to Canada instead and my friend took my horse boo hoo) , but when i saw the level i was shocked WA was not so far behind after all .. Went and watched the 2000 olympics in person and saw how we compared..... Then i went to Canada and saw people riding some seriously expensive/quality horses.... But we have come a long way since then.. so i was just saying it tongue in cheek. I am sure you won't be disapointed! Please don't mind me.. what would i know these days.. can't even get agility right with a dog LOL ;) Hehe, you probably know more than me!!! I compete in NOTHING!
  15. Oh Dog, Rosie, I was hoping to see some at Equitana!!!! Please dont tell me its not to be!!! Will I be disappointed???
  16. Yep, come and join us in Sydney What days are you going Mirawee, or are you doing the whole lot???? We (sister'n'me) are hoping to see Adam Sutton, but dont know what day hes on....I also NEED to see some top quality dressage :D
  17. Poor Mas....... Hope you get some answers about whats up with him!!! How long do you have to wait for results???? Thanks CC, I only hope its stays fixed!!!
  18. Hmmm, I really need to come in here a little more often I think!!! I have missed out on so much ST, those puppies are just toooooo gorgeous! Good thing I live so far away, or Id be there in a flash to snuggle them to death  OsO - big congrats on your GIANT weekend Well done Lewis!!! What a Legend....LOL! I passed a 4 wheel drive on my way home on the Friday, with "E" number plates and wondered if it was you and your crew!!! But then thought you probably wouldve gone up the Albany hiway!! RS, sorry poor Ruby has had a fat head , glad shes better now though! A few years ago Zola was bitten by something very early in the morning (most likely a spider!) and ended up looking like a bullmastiff It was very scary, being an hour away from the vet and all!! I poked some A/H down her throat and sped into Bunbury...By the time we got there the swelling had gone down quite a bit, but she got an injection anyway. Poor girl! Wish I had got some photos of her! When she got a bee sting the other day, she hardly even had a reaction, thank Dog!!!!! Wandys toe seems to be fixed!!! She has been running about and hasnt upset it again, so Im hoping its all mended Nothing exciting has been going on in my little world, just working & sleeping and waiting for winter So, I hope to head to the Winterfest, dont know whether to come up on Friday and stay or just head up Saturday.....Im also thinking of heading east to the Equitana in November....just for a little holiday!!
  19. Poor Zola! Similar thing happened to Ruby, home from the vet after vaccs as a puppy and we get out of the car, she sticks her head in a bush next to the driveway, gets stung by a bee! Blows up like a balloon, and we're straight back to the vet Reminds me that I really need to buy some antihistamines to keep in my car in case it happens again! Off topic and I will probably kick myself when you tell me, but what does BRD stand for? Spot on Mirawee, Big Red Dog aka Zola......Shes fine tonight, not even any "after effects" from the 4 grams of Vit C shoved down her throat!!!! Will endeavour to catch up with you Mirawee & also Emery!!! (who will not be hard to miss by then I imagine :D )
  20. Whew....Just read though about 10 pages of stuff!!!! Havent been on here for quite a while ( Got a bit DOL'd out )........I know its a bit old, but just had to comment on this.... Not sure if I should let my parents know that part I find it hard to believe coat colour makes a difference though, why is that so? Is it fact or just one of those well known rumours like when people say choc labs are crazier than the other colours? I think it's absolute nonsense in regards to the Labs as it's just a coat colour.... but maybe they are right, Millie is a loon!!! Brown nosed Ridgies definitely differ in temp to the black nosed ones....They have more of a ratbaggy nature. And arent black pugs and tri basenjis supposed to be a little more wicked!!!! :D Typical, both colours Id have if I had either a pug or senji! Zola had a bowen session today Poor girl, she hates going to the vet to begin with and having to be put up on the table on her side was almost more than she could handle :( But with a few strategically placed acupuncture needles and some bach flower drops she ended up doing quite well Only to return home and get a bloody beesting Poor girl!! Shes curled up asleep now though, darling pathetic BRD So...........who will be at the Winter Fest on the Friday night & Saturday??? Thought I might head up and say hi!!
  21. Totally agree Tiggy! You dont need to be sorry at all Ness! it must be very upsetting and frustrating to be getting conflicting stories from two professionals about the ideal treatment for YOUR dog I gather you have google to death the treatment of tendonitis??? Big hugs for you and you poochs Ness
  22. Sorry to hear about your Nonno RV, hope he is comfortable at least Hope poor Toby feels alot better tomorrow!! Ness, would acupuncture be of any use for poor Kenz????? Poor bugger, so hard to keep them off their feet and sane Took Zola for a hour long walk today, and we saw lots of kangaroos!! Zola loved that, and she was so well behaved on her halti , poor kid! I felt sorry for Wandy having to stay home, but her bloody toe is a bit fat today - so I gave her a handful of treats sprinkled across the floor and disappeared with the BRD!!
  23. What I meant was the shape of the dogs head - the pricked ears and pointy, kelpie shaped muzzle. If you look at both your dogs heads, you will probably see some similarities in shape. Ears, muzzles, muscle structure (although if he has staffy in him, hell prob'ly be quite muscular in his jaws), eyes shape and set! If you google kelpie pics, you can see what their general body & head shape is. Although having said that, there are quite a few different shapes and sizes when it comes to Kelpies
  24. As usual Erny, your post has me very interested!! Makes me want to delve further into Zolas allergy problems. Just had a quick look at the properties of Turmeric.....What a great spice!!! Apart from a zillion other things, it is used to heal wounds and damaged skin as well as treating psoriasis and other inflammatory skin conditions! I believe curcumin is the active ingredient in Turmeric. I would be interested to know which Ridgeback site you were referring to earlier Erny.
