LOL MrsD I didn't even notice your shoes!!! Glad that Jarrah is feeling better and that Whisper is working on a tug again - great news!
-
Awww Maree thank you so much!!!! I love those pics of Daisy. She worked pretty hard at our consult on Friday and I was really happy with the effort she put in. If you look closely in that first recall pic you can see Steve's smug "I-told-you-so" face because I swore she wouldn't have been able to do it so quickly but she did! And to put that pic of us heeling past the red container into context - Daisy had been lunging and desperately trying to get to it to eat the food out of it literally about a minute beforehand, I didn't think we could get her to walk past it without even looking at it so quickly, but it was easy as! ETA: Do you mind if I put them on FB? Unless you are planning to upload them there too?

DB, I think you and Raz would make a great DWD team. He has great focus on you and he is so agile!

-
LOL DB that's very nice of you It's hard when I know how she can work but can't seem to get her back up to that standard, I am feeling a lot more positive about it now though as I know where I've gone wrong and how to fix it.
-
LOL Maree I am glad someone witnessed my dog actually putting in some decent work (unlike the rest of the weekend)! I hope you upload the pics soon I'd love to see them. The DWD dogs were awesome, I really enjoyed handling Chook, I am still up for a trade if you are

Jesus MrsD what a drama!!! I hope Jarrah gets better ASAP, he worked like a trooper this weekend!

BQ, Quinn was awesome this weekend. What a great dog with so much potential! You are going to have a ball with her. ETA: There were stacks of dogs at the workshop this weekend that you could just see so much potential in, especially when you could visibly see the dogs improving in leaps and bounds in such a short time. How lucky to have so many awesome dogs in one place!

What a massive weekend!!! I had a great time and it was so awesome to catch up with some great friends and meet some new ones :D Thanks so much Steve for putting on such a brilliant workshop, I always learn so much from you and I really appreciate all the support you give me and Daisy (because as you all would have witnessed this past weekend, we need it. LOL). Oh... and you looked very good doing DWD

Will miss you and the Frenchies this weekend Sparky! I'm off to camp :D See you all on Monday!

LOL Sally!! I am lucky in that Daisy will pretty much work for anything. But I guess I better bring at least one donut for her, it is the Evil Beagle we are talking about after all

I have in the past but I get a bit grossed out when I use actual dog treats for training. Don't ask me why. It's not like I would ever in a million years eat luncheon roll but for some reason it doesn't gross me out in quite the same way.
-
I used to use a lot of cooked chicken but I find it gets crumbly
-
I'm assuming BQ feeds a raw diet?? I do too - thanks for the reminder I hadn't even thought about food! Am going to get some good treats for Miss Daisy tomorrow, I am thinking of boiling some cheapy chuck steak cos it's not too fatty and she loves it!
-
I often boil chicken or chuck steak and chop it into little pieces for something a bit more healthy. I also buy luncheon roll when I'm being lazy. The key is to make sure you chop it up into little pieces, my treats are never bigger than the nail on my little finger.
-
Haha me too!! Though by the time you are in your 20s Christmas really isn't that exciting anymore :D

Two more sleeps MrsD!! For anyone who is coming down on the Friday

Brisbane Groomer Recommendation Needed
huski replied to huski's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I hadn't thought of that Becks! I might look into it. She only gets clipped really once or maybe twice a year. -
I feed raw to the dogs but I tried my cat on it and she HATED it which was highly unusual for her
-
Gosh Erny you are so clever Hahahaha I'd love to see the expression on Steve's face if Daisy rocked up wearing a tutu... hahaha
-
Hey, a dog wearing a tutu!

Nice work Piper! Training was canceled tonight due to rain so I did a quick weave session in the garage. Daisy seems to have improved so that's good She was nailing entries tonight and working REALLY well on four poles. When I took her to training last week and set her up in front of two poles she looked at me like "what's that? never seen those before!" so I know I need to work on getting her working on them in more places.
