Poster hasn't but doesn't say about partner oops .. forgot that was in first post perhaps they are more confident than I , but a 'guard dog ' breed wouldn't be my choice for a first dog ... it isn't now either ;) They'd be smarter than I .....

He's a lucky lad :)

Have you owned/trained a dog previously ? That may also influence the type of dog/ training ...
-
the puddles have dried out now ... what a shame :p
-
:) GB .. now you have a proper baying hound :)
-
And this part is 90% up to YOU , and your commitment to making sure a dog has every opportunity top be active and engaged in mind & body . There are many breeds who are not large , but can bark loudly ... and, yes, a pure breed , by all means , however, most any black/brindle dog can make someone think twice ...

LOL - that's a great shot, P C .. he is really stretching out!!

they belong to Marcus and I've told him that for years that he could have a little side earner being a hand model, I think I even mentioned his lovely hands way back with Widget's litter. He thinks they're not Anglo Saxon enough, I tell him that's part of the appeal but he's not interested. tell him they are just beautiful ..... :)

Oh :D Welcome little ones :) Glad to read everyone's doing well ... and the photos are great ( who is the hand model ? those hands deserve photos of their own!! ) Hope you got some sleep, and that Neko is bright eyed and feeling OK

'Junkyard Dogs' I'm just a teddy bear .... "In a Rusty Holden Ute .."

;) In a previous life , my duck was allowed indoors ..but NOT on the carpet . She learned , so your dogs will, too !

He is TWO !! Born around Christmas time I have no idea where the time's gone ....
-
it may not be, but I'd be worried that it is an O C D behaviour It would be interesting to see exactly what happens - is there any common factor ? A sound, action, time when it happens ....all that sort of thing . How many revolutions does the dog do -- one or two, then lose interest ..or can it go on for a couple of minutes?
-
:) The dogs don't mind people laughing at them, I'm sure ....and it's dogs being dogs, at least - not 'artistic' grooming, or dogs walking a tightwire ;)
-
Is there an aspect of it you think is not quite right? The distance is tiny - 20 metres, just across a normal small house-block front yard (even an unfit doggie would not be over-worked). Daxies can move - they are fast and clever at lure-coursing. Good to have an activity that might inspire owners to do some fitness walks to prepare. Ha! I would love to see them coursing! they are such bright dogs ...and full of determination :)

Dear Don - he is SUCH a treat when there is nothing to chase he can only go off lead when I am absolutely sure there are no rabbits/roos/sheep within about 300 mtrs - otherwise he'll find 'em !! My fault, I know - and hopefully one day my training motivation will return ... my dogs suffer because of it these days . *looks at Don lying under the table , chewing on a beef spare rib ...* Oh ..and, after a couple of years - Don has finally matured ! He is now built like a brick dunny .. solid and square, (with what The Boss describes as a 'wolf mouth' )..... and his bark has dropped an octave or two!! Just the last few days we noticed this deep WOOF and thought it was old Leo . Nope it's the new boofheaded Don . :) Gotta love testosterone sometimes ....
-
:) What fun ! Should be more things like this - dogs are meant to move ....
-
I used to have a white dog ..now he's sort of orange!! :p A good run in the cool - NO DUST !! ( we had 33 mm )
