  1. these two foods are not in the 'top' food category by any means... they are cheap, but a lot of dogs do well on them. We use them when fresh meat is scarce, and the dogs hold weight better than other foods we can afford. an added plus is they are AUSSIE made and owned!!
  2. yay.... he is now having to seek his reward by doing what YOU ask !! well done
  3. No, True.. the pigs don't care what a dog looks like poor pitties.. blessed with schwarzenegger muscles and a solid temperament means they can be used /abused willy nilly.
  4. romantic dog food.. macro things, dogs in motion- things with wings! Light and shadow, black and white. smiles with family.... another talent-filled night!!
  5. Just a bit of fun for today... fuzzy fotos.. but show my goofy boy Hamlet digging himself a cool spot in the sand ( no lawn here) he enjoys it!
  6. I really hope this new AB does the trick - At least they are thinking of different things. *fingers crossed* again for tonight. Take care
  7. poochmad... you love your boy, and will ride out his probs As erny said... some of us have seen the worse-case scenarios... and would hate it to happen with you and henschke ! Dogs are sent to try us !!
  8. No.. it is a learned and reinforced behaviour... the reward of which is obviously worth putting up with minor discomfort . he has not much respect for his humans, seems like.
  9. Do you have an ingredients list for that food you are using?
  10. From what I understand of his daily life...he IS!!!! sorry twice daily walks at least... training sessions everyday...at present he has nothing with which to satisfy his need for work he is an indulged teenager!!!..and needs exercise and discipline in large doses... affection doled out for good things/behaviour..., so he regains some balance....
  11. *fingers crossed for him today* Hopefully the vets have it right, and the AB's will sort it out.
  12. oh dear. I would spend a couple of days with him on leash inside.... doing down stays alongside you.. walking at heel around the house... and getting praised for good work! just so he knows that he can walk sedately.... maybe you could put a few drops of citronella oil in the bottle of water? This smells strong.. and may be more of a deterrent?
  13. ahh.. I can believe it.. the few I've met are just such lovely people dogs
  14. In australia ? any websites ? I am not involved in the dogworld much these days.. so wouldn't know if they are employed here, sorry...
  15. Good thing I'm not drinking coffee!!!!!!!! The keyboard would be full
  16. baby steps ... good! please don't let him chase the birds....for many reasons. It is in his blood... but is not really a good habit to get into ;)
  17. I only have a couple... our walls are terrible.. they don't like having nails/picture hangers put in.
  18. AFAIK there is no blood test for tetanus, and in mild cases, the body temp is normal or slightly elevated.. as it often is at a vets anyhow..... I guess it's a case of looking at the symptoms and the timeline... I know it's not the 'right' thing to do... but the cases I've googled all had very similar symptoms.. eye discharge, third eyelid.. wide open eyes.. ears erected.. face muscles tightened.. stiffness in limbs..... I do hope your vet considers tetanus again.... time is of the essence here!
  19. Hope they can find something SOON
  20. some great portraits and imagination-fuelled work, expressive eyes, and snippets of life. Clever people This one, done in PICASA, is a spathyphillum flower ;)
