  1. Hi, I have posted a note on the fb Pointer Group......as there are a few Pointer owners in your area......who dont use DOL but are on this Group.....Good luck Thanks SP... we are really keen to get this underway...
  2. We would book your van  Please keep us informed....:)
  3. and what regulation gave them the right to refuse your entry ???? Hmm, if Joan of Arc is in QLD I have no idea, but in NSW it's in the DogsNSW Regulations Part 2 Reg 13.4 (vii) I am in NSW but the show was in Vic.... As for right or wrong ... I couldnt be bothered arguing the toss with them and have just decided that while the show is run but that committee I wont enter again...
  4. Its double edged thing really. Last year I entered a 7 mth old pup in a show where the owner of her grand sire was judging GS and given the number of entries in her breed I knew she wouldnt make group specials much less GS.... but the club returned my entries - refused them on the grounds that she just might make GS... However they were inconsistent in their application of this decision and so if a club is going to take a stand then they must be very consistent and thier decisions and rationale must be transparent.. But normally I wouldnt enter under that person even if they had nothing to do with the dogs I was entering ... it might be ok by the rules but probably ethically wrong....
  5. Loved this show last year but cant make it this year.... but can someone do me a huge favour.... I would love a profile shot of an ESS, any one will do.... and maybe a pointer....
  6. Bought mine for show stackers over the net... they were very quick to deliver although they do come from WA.... try using four blocks of wood until they arrive...
  7. Our grounds are always in excellent condition... even two years ago when it rained non stop on the Sat and the Sun the grounds were great...
  8. Can somebody please post the details of the schedule for the Wang show in June... I can't find my DogsVic gazette
  9. Hi guys What we are really looking at is something for DogsNSW Southern Region... so the Riverina area and perhaps along the border.... We thought we might be able to kick start something and run it at the same time as the Sthn Region shows in June / July because the gundog group is very strong here but we cant always travel to Wolongong...
  10. Double post... please delete
  11. We are seeking expressions of interest from members of DogsNSW who would be interested in joining a group of us in establishing a speciality club in the Southern Region. We are seeking to establish a Southern Region Gundog Club and it is anticipated that we would run at least one show a year, possibly in conjunction with DogsNSW Southern Region in June/July. If you are interested please contact either Sandy at [email protected] or Merrilee at [email protected]
  12. How disappointing. I did see a few gazebo's with the roof caved in Luckily the one I was using faired quite well. Hopefully we'll see you back later this year. BD we lost our big blue gazebo, the frame is totally ruined - all bent - from the weight of the water sitting in the roof.... but we still had our compact up and safe... you should have come and moved in with us..... Rebanne, it certainly was like running in a swamp... I was the third dog into the gundog ring and the I did my one lap and came out wet up to the knees.... and by the time group came it was just mud.... The scary thing is there is more rain predicted for tomorrow night and Sunday...
  13. Our grounds are fine thankyou!! and can take more rain than the grounds that are being used this weekend in Albury. I'd second that.... Albury and Border KC have fabulous grounds, they are well maintained, the surface is level - unlike the paddock we were running on today - and they will be mown and cleared before the show... and they have fabulous drainage.
  14. Sorry BB no breed breakdown for Friday (:D )
  15. Yes of course but not for the Friday... .might have to have a silent but stern word to the cataloguer....
  16. Gundog entry is great everyday... 20 Labs... havent seen that many Labs at a show for years
  17. Heard today that there has been a change of judge for these shows... F Prideaux can no longer attend and has been replaced by T Valli.... have sent an email to member of club committee - waiting for confirmation
  18. CVCC numbers arrived today... so I guess Heathcote will be here tomorrow....
  19. Thanks for the notice Janelle CVCC numbers arrived today... .perhaps Heathcote will be here tomorrow....
  20. Sure will.... with the beautiful white wild child.....
  21. Add me to the list of anal OCD people... when I come home from a show I put all the information (date, show, judge, points, results, comments etc) into an excel file.... then file certificates, update and file catalogues and post results... then I do the photos that OH takes and post them....just part of the routine now and that way nothing gets lost or fogotten... then when applying for titles instead of filling in the tedious DogsNSW list I just print out a copy of the relevant columns in the spreadsheet and attach to application... DogsNSW do ask for certificates but will accept photocopies...and several or Rosie's certificates were from Vic so not sure that where they come from makes any difference....
  22. I realise there is two public holidays but I was just wondering if anyone has received thier numbers for the two shows at Bulla next weekend...
