  1. brilliant point Poodlefan... the ANKC... too right hun... but it's a very very SAD factor! very sad yes too many people with their noses so far up someone elses to be able to see where the stink really comes from.. figuratively speaking. I would say tho that the breed is changing and so is what people are making it too or making OF it i should say.
  2. exactly Kavik... what's next... how come chockers arent banned? they hurt more then prongs AND for longer.. they are dangerous too then.. but it is... that's the point... on the sports front.. other countries are expanding AND successful YET here in oz our clubs are shutting down... why?? and Victoria.. better i shudup and
  3. I have a 2 year old pet male whom while in his previous home never travelled in a car for his two years of life .. now i'm talking about a dog that's nearly 70 kilos and 82cms tall... YEP HUGE!! how can i teach him or train him to get into the car, that it will be rewarding as we go to the beach, park etc... any suggestions.. he's had to be sedated when arriving to me so any advise how I can get such large dog into a car without breaking fingers (as his previous owner did) or hurting the dog and most of all giving him negative experience for something that will be rewarding? any advice i am willing to try and see how it goes. thanks
  4. you know HR and Erny you are both right... i feel soooo sorry for that club i was attending there and Istvan and John were all professionals AND i learnt heaps... AND MISS IT TOO!! Used to love driving 2 hours to get there up and back BUT it was brilliant! It angers me that WE AUSTRALIA, such a up to date country ARE SO DAM BACKWARDS.... Europe has KNVP has Schutzhund, has French and Belgium Rings sports among MANY harder sports and WAY more dangerous then WE DO... YET our clubs are closing down... yet WE seem to have all our dogs banned OR BREEDS OR FUN and time with our pets.. USA have the same as Europe if not MORE Schutzhund clubs... what on earth are doing??? Has this country fallen off the wagon and I’m talking about the MORONS who are making these stupid laws up to SUIT their own FAT a#@%s and not making it better for any of US who LOVE to spend time with our dogs. I will give you an example OF what i witnessed when i was down training at the club with Istvan, Crystal, John.... we trained Sundays... Saturdays was kids athletics day or something.. they decided that they were doing a athletics train day IN OUR TIME!!! On a SUNDAY during OUR training... :shakehead: SO here we have Dogs that are SO called DANGEROUS!!! kids running THRU OUR area (the ground) where we had the 6 tents up and a dog was doing it's Revere.... AND DID NOT chase the kid BUT did what HIS owner told him to do.. there was no aggression or nothing.. NOW what REALLY REALLY makes me MAD if these little ba$#$ds.. (and their bloomin athletics teachers/ parents..) If something had gone wrong, someone had gotten bitten Or attacked it would be the DOGS fault... the SPORTS fault.. BAN BAN BAN it really makes me sooo angry! But not ban parents from taking their kids where training is happening… not ban parents from allowing kids to screw up. I am disgusted in our country AND ITS attitude towards dogs and the sports.. (I’m talking about these di$%#h$#%ds) who keep changing the laws... the di$%#h$#%ds who make dogs go wild or train to kill like the fighting dog people etc.. SO why WHY is it WE have to SUFFER for some incompetent nit wit who sits on his backside all day and then goes.. “hmmm which organisation OR breed can i screw over today…..” it really angers me! really really does.. I feel really hurt and angry that this happened to the one place i loved to go to. great people and professional work. Good luck to John and Istvan and these bastards who make their own laws can go stick it up themselves for once... if I ever seen them I would bite them.. what they going to ban me too for having teeth.. JERKS! Sorry guys… just really really makes me angry.. and it’s very sad that we are the only country where Schutzhund clubs are dying out. sorry edited due to my blunt use of rude words...
  5. Kaz so sorry for your loss.. he looks like he was a Regal and beautiful boy! Xander.. RIP matie and may you be at peace now
  6. i was reading this thread with the same question running thru my mind. I have the opposite problem of mine going nuts to grab the tugs or rags... just out of curiosity have you tried to just thread a rag thry the leash handle (so that you have the hard clip part in your hand) and drag it around as if you were playing with a kitten? once the dog has a firm grab then grab on both sides of rag and tug?? my pom does it too and will fight my shepherds for the rag/tugs when i bring my toys out. sorry i'm just curious... it seems like we're all forgetting the "simple" techniques
  7. Don't worrk Kavik same here... had to look lol!! Julie.. that puppy is SOO CUTE you have there!!! will we get to see her? hehe
  8. i tried your submit a site.. with my details and my breed.. i hope that works and is ok? great idea btw! well done.. love your colour coordination too!
  9. i had to wait 4 and a bit weeks... how do you all get your results so quick?? what do i need to do to get that to happen.... i have a couple to score soon and would certainly love to be put to rest at least by a week if nothing more. but 4 and a bit weeks is a bit much!
  10. ohhhhhhhhh my thoughts are with hugs and hope all works out well fingers and toes are crossed
  11. i couldn't agree more.. he's mentally bored.. if you could keep him mentally stimulated i'm sure he will before long be looking for new things for you to teach him.. i have a hyper brood like that and i find working her several times a day compared to the rest is enough to satisfy her.. and most times i dont need to walk her.. good luck
  12. i'll get you to hold off doing mine for the moment i have a few changes taking place and new nicer piccies.. so will get them up when i get my head around everything... just come back from being offline for a while so all is like new to me. thanks btw everyones signatures are looking GREAT!!!!!!!!

  14. i do it with my dogs.. every sunday they skip a meal... the younger pups dont naturally but my 12 month olds onwards do. I have learnt thru training that keeping them a little hungrier helps keep them keener, and much easier towork with but mine normally get 2 meals a day not one i have a weird method in feeding my dogs i guess. however maybe someone with more experience could give you advice OR contribute to this thread
  15. lol i can understand that one.. i've got it and am trying and learning but NEED heaps of perfecting! way more professional ppl on here then just me
  16. aww hun hope we all havent got you working too hard... i dont mind waiting too if it makes things easier? Grumpette i heard that PE5 is great for beginners too.. wish i had that one i have PS 7 and ...um... er..... yeah lol
  17. one question tho about lasso.. how do you conrtol the bugger to go where u want it to and not in the areas it's not meant to???
  18. oh yeah i agree lol!!! always good to know how to do things that you couldnt achieve the first time.. thanks for that tho you just said something about the brushes i might have to try one day.. i'm always trying out new ways to do things i wasnts aware well didnt pay attention that the brush effect leaves different effects.. must give that one a bash thank you
  19. thanks for the tips too might give that blur one a try.. though i feel its a little cheating but worth it too
  20. i have to say i agree (thought i aim to own a slr and do agree it's easier for mastering great pics) it's not always the equipment but also the knowledge of the user.. as i've been taught. here are some images i achieved playing on my digital 3.2 mpixel camera just by adjusting the manual settings that i do have on it. oh my camera is a minolta this is not using macro setting either now one with macro
  21. holy smoke how did u do that? two things i'm trying to learn 1 to blur the background or make it less important and 2 to change the lighting shades in a photo. but i'll be stoaked in knowing how u did that background blurr that's great
  22. sorry to be a pain.. i found some better pics of Pippa so thought i would give these ones rather then the earlier ones as she's cuter in them and her true expressions
  23. Jojo (Amber) Divine (Pipa) Sash (pantaloon) good luck and may your creativity be with you lol
