  1. Poo factor When you become a dog person you lose all dignity Awww Boxagirl, poor Bondi, glad she is seeming to get better though, it's hard to watch them suffer. Hope she is better soon.
  2. Yeah I got him out late because I was busy filming/watching, 400 went very fast and I was the first 300 in the ring - I had been trying to get him to go to the toilet all day - I could tell that he needed to go (you know what I mean by that RFT ;) ) usually he goes quickly and on command but not yesterday! This was his third run too so he had plenty of opportunity Certainly a new one Luckily by that stage I was too buggered to care about being embarrassed, what could I do but laugh I've heard about dogs peeing in tunnels but never pooing in them Lucky I didn't have to climb too far in to get it. There's a lesson in it - always carry a spare poo bag so you can clean it up and get out of there as ASAP Hope all the injured doggies are doing better soon!! Wow three teeth in one day! I only foind one or two of Trixies, pretty sure she ate the rest (in typical style)
  3. I have single very very short coated dogs, so anything I actually need to brush or that has undercoat is not wash and wear for me But I can see how it would be wash and wear compared to a Lhasa Apso!
  4. Megan I have a dog who gets a bit over agility and goes off with the fairies, doesn't want to work, I give him a couple of weeks - month off every few months and he is always better for it - comes back full of enthusiasm. He is very much a 'less is more' kind of dog
  5. I love Schipperkes.... I looked into getting one but I like wash and wear dogs too much
  6. Some dogs don't swim naturally - my Manchester is the most hopeless swimmer - she lifts her front legs too high and doesn't move her back legs enough so she stays straight up and down! She is getting a lot better - she moves in forward motion now - and doesn't let the fact that she is a crap swimmer stop her from leaping in from the edge of the pool! My Tentie was also not great but was helped with a floaty jacket - he is a brilliant swimmer now and speeds along like a motorboat. He never used to like the water but has improved over the last three years and will now jump in off the edge to get his ball.
  7. My dog didn't even make it to the distance challenge in OJ He was preoccupied in the tunnel.... pooing Happy Birthday Tiggy and Sophie :D Bugger about Bondi, poor girl Hope she turns the corner soon
  8. Fantastic score SLLH! Well done! The no training technique seems to work well for a few people Well done Ptolomy and Scoota with the second places! And Bedazzled for the UD win. Tassie by the time you get to a real Rally O trial you and Rory will be pros! Wow Jess that sounds intense!! 12 Masters runs - jeepers!! Congrats on the brilliant results! Well done on your pass yesterday MG - I heard it was very windy? Hope I didn't forget anyone! Back from a long warm day at our first agility trial in 8 weeks, Kyzer had a few terrible moments But he pulled out his best stuff for his ADX run - I nearly fell over with shock He was speedy, responsive, happy and accurate and everything I hope for when running him - if only I could work out how I got him to do it Bring on the night trials next weekend and beyond
  9. Wow some real breathtaking images there - incredible stuff!!!
  10. What time is she arriving SK? PUPPY DAY!!!!
  11. I have had a few weird vet experiences too, but not as bad as yours. One vet told me I shouldn't feed my dog bones and should brush their teeth daily instead - um no I am aware of the risks and I am going to feed my dogs the food they are designed to eat!
  12. God he is so so cute. The Body:legs ratio is hilarious on foals
  13. I had a name chosen for my girl for ages, I was going to call her Ebony, then at the 6 weeks old I changed her name to Trixie because it tied in with her registered name, which I also chose. Trixie suits her so well though, much more than Ebony would've. Kyzer was going to be Kyzer from before he was born, had I known 'Kaiser' (pronounced the same) was such a popular name, particularly with large breeds of German origin, I probably would've called him something else Some people say "that's a big name for a little dog" I know people who have names picked out for their future dogs already, which are some years away. I don't even know what breed I'm getting next let alone names and I'm quite indecisive
  14. Are you jumping out of your skin with excitement?? Nothing like a puppy countdown!
  15. Hey I'm not a complete non obedience person
  16. You are blind It's there - Amanda Houston, doing UD then CD
  17. I was playing around with a pole wrap several months ago - Kyzer hadn't really done it very much before and it was new for Trixie. Because it wasn't for flyball there was no particular direction required, just whichever direction I sent them. Both dogs were fine going clockwise from over ten metres, but had noticeable trouble going anti clockwise - I had to take it right back next to the pole - my boy dog would be 30cm away from the pole and he'd still twist his body at the last minute to go clockwise around it They both got it eventually but it took a while and it still isn't as strong as the other direction. I thought it was interesting because I'd never done moch pole wrap work with them, hadn't really done any with Trixie at the time, so there wasn't an obvious reward history in place.

    Ollie Dog

So sorry to hear about Ollie, what a little fighter he was. RIP Ollie, my thoughts are with you Staffyluv
  19. Hmmm nope I don't think you look like a Labrador RS I'm not pointy like my dogs but I am grumpy like they are
  20. Yeah that's a good point - the red fluffy one will be Ptolomy I'll be the spiky black and white one!
  21. God I need to do that too, I just about have an asthma attack after running two dogs at training Soon will be the first time I have had to run two dogs at one trial (I can hear the multiple dog people rolling their eyes )
  22. Woohoo! Might give it a crack next year!
