Not me :D My super immune system has served me well this winter, I haven't been sick since May! I have had a couple of times where I thought I was getting sick and had a sore throat but a few teaspoons of raw honey and it disappeared, woo! (Of course this probably means it is waiting ready to hit me big time )

Elise+Hudson - have a search on Youtube for "CCD Trial" there are videos of trials on there - it will give you a good idea of what to expect :D

Awesome!

Well done guys - tough tough conditions! Congrats on your Open win Bedazzled How adorable is Cider taking the dumbbell to your mum - hehehe! Oh well she gave you a perfect score at last year's Royal anyway Glad Strauss did well too, good boy. How did Zippa go in CCD - did she get her title?

That's basically how I was thinking of using it. "Devil's tools" Love it

I seriously thought I was looking at a head shot of Trixie until I realised it was a Dobe Love the photos CC

Yep definitely talking about the handler

Yeah I know when I first started agility it was mainly GD based, and it was always drilled in to us to never ever ever blind cross your dog! But I see people with fast dogs who blind cross after tunnnels and when it's done well it looks so much smoother and they get ahead, I have seen some bad ones though where people didn't indicate clearly which side the dog should be on afterwards and the dog just got confused and lost.
-
Yep also obedience is such a long time to be out there - way more scary
-
Does anyone here use blind crosses? What are your thoughts on them? Noticing more and more people using them over here, particularly after tunnels.

Ooops sorry I didn't notice it was in the Show Ring Well on a showing related note I did see some Whippet judging - I love whippets :D I pointed them out to OH and told him I want one one day. Looking forward to the Group 2 results on Friday :D

Great work Woohooo Yep can't see me entering a Royal in the near future... maybe in a few years we'll see... the crowd and kiddy rides are tough and the judges were setting some mean courses yesterday which I don't really think is necessary. Didn't like the Dogwalk right against the fences next to the crowd almost within arms reach and then a see saw straight after - eek But the worst thing was how squished in everyone was in the seating area and entries were down - not only would that stress my dog, it would stress me There were some great runs yesterday, some hard luck stories and some laughs Funny how when a dog is being 'naughty' you hear little kids laughing hysterically They love it I really like the new spot though - brilliant exposure to the public - and I really admire those who compete at the Royal - I think you are all very brave
-
That would have been good ST - the agility competitor area was so so squishy yesterday, made me very glad I didn't enter - my dogs (or I) couldn't deal with being squished in so badly! I like the new location of the agility & obedience ring though - it was pulling a good crowd and it was good to have almost all the dog stuff in one area.

Agree - the smell of the rats alone would get mine worked up
-
Probably worth mentioning that mousing instinct is very strong in tenties / mini foxies and most JRT - you will need to keep your rats well away - they are very fast operators! and very committed to their job (mine would go absolutely nuts living in a house with rodents - he is obsessive about hunting them)
-
There are other small terriers I would recommend to families with children before a tentie - JRT is one and also Smooth Fox Terrier - they seem to be able to deal with life a bit better than most of the tenties I know - though I know tenties who are great with kids, I think for your situation you might be better off with something a bit more bomb proof. If you decide on a tentie my advice is to do your research, meet several relatives and avoid any puppies that show obvious signs of nervousness. Good luck with your search

Congrats Ness and good girl Kenz, you deserve it after all your hard work! video?

That scream is so terrifying and you just want it to stop so you can assess the situation! I remember when kyzer got a grass seed in his ear MY GOD the noise was ear piercing, luckily I figured out what it was straight away and we calmed him down and shut him up. He's usually quite good with pain and has had some spectacular stacks and had no yelping, I think it was more the fright that made him scream more than pain lol
-
We could see some fireworks, my dogs weren't really bothered by the noise, I was throwing the toy for them in the back yard, they were more worried about the scary giant person next door (kid sitting on dads shoulder warning the fireworks lol) ETA lots of dogs in the neighbourhood were barking though
-
Yes that was the best part of having them here last year! I kind of wish they were this year or next year rather than last year so I could make more use of them So are the next Nationals in Brisbane in 2014? Nothing in between? Man that makes me really want to go, but no money. better buy a lotto ticket?
