Well done TSD - glad Ziggy recovered and then did brilliantly!! Eesh don't like the sound of those conditions though. Krustie - CONGRATS on your pass and third place!!!!!!!! The rest sounds positive too, good on you for making it fun. DSO Wow what a weekend you had!!! Congratulations on your first places!!

Exactly what I was going to say - I don't agree with early desexing (I do desex my dogs though - prefer to wait until 18 months) especially since the dog would do dog sports, and I wouldn't buy a puppy from a breeder that already came desexed. I understand why rescue want to do it though.

Alpha Bet I think that's also true in Perth, most shows are at our K9 grounds and although it has a sign saying public is welcome it does not look like a welcoming place at all
-
Yep I agree with Dandybrush my two are two years apart, a bigger gap would have been better, but the rest just fell into place and I couldn't turn it down. In the future I will probably have a larger gap, preferably 5 years or so depending on breed

Oh my gosh Adele you have a baby? Congrats!

Yes I have seen it in dogsport rings as well Yep... but I think it's inevitable when large groups of people get together, especially when competing

Welcome to DOL I went from one dog to two about 2 years ago. The most important point is that you have to get the dog because you want to, not because you think your other dog will like company. Honestly I think my first dog was fine by himself, he never fretted, didn't mind being left alone, was never destructive. We worked full time then and still do now. The second dog however has some separation anxiety issues despite always having the other dog around. Two dogs are harder to deal with than one for sure, and cost more. I don't regret getting my second dog at all because she is very very special to me, but I do accept that my first dog was quite happy to be solo, although he does love her now. Good luck with it :D

Nah it can wait - was just going to grab a new smaller dumbbell. Not really important. Thanks anyway. I always get sucked into buying heaps of stuff when I go there

Hey I'm not straightening mine! It's my only discerning feature I pay that dude to hang around. Lucky for me he likes to do housework
-
Spur is where all the South Africans go My brothers housemate is the son of the people who own it (confusing!) No Candice haven't heard any more sorry.
-
Yeah it is so lightweight it doesn't really straighten properly, though I haven't tried it with a GHD before. One day when I can be bothered
-
Story of my life! One day I'm going to straighten it and I reckon no one will recognise me
-
Does your OH go to spur horty?
-
WHAT? So our Greek food will be made by South Africans???
-
Yep I've fabricated an elaborate story You got me
