It looks very interesting, I wish I was closer.

Yes but you have to have the third one before you apply, and if approval is refused you can always drop it at the orphanage. I know dog complaints, especially noise, make up a lage proportion of the complaints councils receive, but still....

I'm not sure, but maybe. When an older dog of mine had vestibular disorder she was better once she was up and had some momentum going than she was starting off. I wouldn't think dementia, the onset doesn't sound right, too sudden, no night wandering or unusual vocalisation. But my experience with it is pretty limited.

I was concerned they may not have rec'd my entry, but if no numbers have come back yet I'll relax.

Have you got your numbers back pf? I'm a little concerned I haven't as yet.

Staffordshire Bull Terrier Colour Possibilities

It didn't get out of hand, it went as it should. It's not a minor matter that the sire is not as represented on the papers and your friend has done the right thing. -
Can You Have Multiple Dogs Without One That
Diva replied to Bubitty's topic in General Dog Discussion
If resources are plentiful, you are a clear and equitable leader, and you have two fairly calm and self-confident dogs, there is no great reason their pack order should be apparent to you day-to-day, IMO. To me its a sign that you are doing a good job (although having 2 different genders helps). Pack order can also be contextual. The primary leader may take a back seat for some situations, but rise to the fore in others, it's not always black and white. -
As a good trainer once told me - smart trainers never say a certain breed can't be trained for a particular job. If the breed can physically do it, some trainer somewhere can train it.

I mostly agree with her.

How's the car SSM? Do you need "rescue"? I'm also up for a mercy dash if you need it ssm. Or if you want company pf. Glad I didn't go now although I was tempted just to run down for today. Chickened out in case it was still wet. I remember Marion Watson, good on her for making the best of it. -
Same here. I'll sometimes even do a U turn and walk them past again to make sure the lesson has stuck. I don't let them approach the barking dog/s but I don't feel obliged to keep moving either, if I want to use it as a training opportunity I do.

I haven't ventured any further away from home than the NSW regional shows, it will be a big adventure if we make it to a Sydney show. I wasn't sure why some schedules asked for them and some didn't, and wondered if some secs preferred you to pick up numbers instead of posting, or if it was just one of those unwritten things I was supposed to know. Thanks for the replies.

Thanks. I figured if in doubt, put it in anyway.

Can I ask a follow up question? I've started showing again, and I always include a stamped addressed envelope, even if they don't ask for it. Unless I enter on-line. Is that correct, or should I only include the envelope when it is specifically asked for? Will they still post the numbers back if I don't and they haven't asked?

so sorry for the loss of your boy.

Well I was going, but will think twice now. I wondered about entering because it might be too hot, but I didn't think of thunderstorms. -
Good article. We call them 'puppy privileges' at our place.

I had a Belgian Shepherd diagnosed with IMHA. He was very ill for a number of days, on cortisone for a number of months, but did pull through. Best wishes.

No it's not fair. Not just the terror, pain and cost, but that they'll probably find it hard to regain the pleasure of those walks without feeling unsafe in their own neighbourhood. Best wishes for your friend's recovery, and for his dogs.
