  1. I love my stainless steel guard combs although they are quite flexible so if the get knocked the will bend the teeth, i have replaced a few over that past 12 months but they go through the coat really smooth and don't fly off of they snag.

  3. Hmm think i'll stick with Natural Balance for now..
  4. I'd go with the Wahl switchblade clippers, i find them better than the KM2s
  5. I got one as a freebie, yet to try it, it's huge compared to the dremel i normally use on my dogs nails
  6. It has a fishy smell i think, my dog loves it though, he licks the bowl afterward for residue
  7. My dogs get Natural Balance dry with frames/bones few times a week instead of the dry.
  8. from memory (correct me if i am wrong) but i think Advance, Pal, Optimum in the dog range are all from the same company?
  9. I know what you mean, they give me a strange look when i come in loaded with tins of sardines.. Had a lady at one of those beauty stands (the ones that sell mineral mud etc) nearly fall over when i said i use the mud packs on my dogs!
  10. I pluck my Wheatens ears when needed, they don't get really hairy ears. I am also a groomer and i pluck ears till they are clean.

  16. He is anticipating the finish i think.. I reward when he is sitting straight in front of me, i hope to trial him once i know his recall is solid. He can do a perfect recall one day and then the next he is all over the place. (eg Saturday absolutely perfect, wednesday he was a mess)
  17. He actually sits the opposite direction to where the treats come from will definitely take all the advice and work with him in the hope i can get him to do a beautiful recall.
  18. I am having trouble with one of my whaeten's recall.. Every time i call him in he comes in slightly to one side, never sitting exactly where i need him in the middle. How can i encourage him to come in straight when i call him?
  19. I use a horse curry comb to wash all double/heavy coated dogs that come into the salon, removes so much loose coat and really helps to scrub the dogs clean.
  20. Malaseb seems to fix the problem, we know what it is but can't find the source. We had the itching under control for 12months but just in the last couple of weeks it seems to have started to reappear. The vets monitor him for itching but it is not severe enough yet for medication.
  21. they have them for pets! http://www.designerdogwear.com/Sunsuit.html
  22. he is washed in Malaseb in the ares that are red (he is prone to contact allergies) but the staining seems to need something stronger to lift it as it hasn't gone away yet
  23. Can anyone recommend a good stain remover? One of my wheatens has quite a lot of red lick staining on his undercarriage and i want to try to get the bulk of it off. Can anyone recommend a good product and where to get it from?
