  1. At least your doggy did it outside & not on the furniture inside, like mine. Lol no he does it inside as well, the cushion that has been eviscerated actually came from inside on the couch he took it outside, usually he doesn't bother things just lie where they were killed
  2. I'm an expert at providing environmental enrichment for my husky, furniture, cushions etc
  3. It's a wonder he hasn't been reclaimed, might be worth keeping an eye on the lost and founds around the place, he doesn't look neglected to me.
  4. Lol protection is a good excuse to get another dog though! Red cattle dog nothing scarier I reckon :D
  5. Sounds like a person to me, I thought it might be a possum but we get heaps of possums and foxes and cats and other critters fighting and carrying on out here and they don't sound like that at all, I'm with poochmad definitely sounds like idiot. You need a husky, mine loves to lay super still and just watch... lol I used to leave my back door open with just the screen door with the dog door in it shut in summer and I had a blanket set up as a curtain to stop the air con getting out. There was about a 20cm gap under the blanket and I would come home and you'd come up the stairs to look straight into these eyes staring at you:
  6. RIP little Jed, hope you are going ok Jednkirrasmummy
  7. OMG YG that is so creepy! Poor little dogs must have been very freaked out Pity you didn't have a surprise big dog in there to give creepy guy a fright! I think a video camera and subsequent trip to the police would be in order, that sort of behaviour is not on :
  8. Lol they are heaps of fun to have around, he is pretty naughty but he is getting heaps better with the biting it's definitely on the decline thank goodness :)
  9. Lol they crack me up too, impossible to go outside and not crack a smile at my place :)
  10. Some more of the big horses from today The boys: Lots of rough and tumble play today Bit of hooning for B Louie
  11. Rolling is fun Even Saffy got into it Tiny's feet are looking heaps better now, getting closer to a normal looking foot so that's good :)
  12. Thanks Aussie :) The husky needs the shedding rake on him his coat is blowing huge chunks of hair everywhere lol
  13. Haven't uploaded much in the way of dog pics lately so I thought I'd take some today :)
  14. Oh I'm so sorry to hear this Take care of yourself you gave him a chance that's all anyone can do.
  15. Oh the poor little guy Still sending good vibes to you and Jed
  16. That is fantastic news! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a safe and successful recovery for him, things must have changed since my boys was done he was under post op watch for 72 hours. ETA Boronia if he's anything like my boy he will be so happy to be feeling better he won't be too worried about the rest :) mine was bouncing around like anything you wouldn't know he'd had major surgery lol
  17. Last thing I read the genetic difference between dogs and wolves was about 0.01%? My dim memory also remembers the fun fact that this diversity is about the same as that between breeds? I don't know I'll have to wait for weasels to out nerd me on that one  Either way as far as I'm aware they've been considered the same species for ages, I think they made dogs a subspecies but that was just to make people feel better rather than any significant differentiation.
  18. Oh bugger I will keep everything crossed for tomorrow then :)
  19. Everything crossed here for you and Jed :)
  20. Lovely pics Alasse! I don't know if you sell these but if you want to just let the organizers know, Downs Arabian Club is on Facebook :)
  21. Lol Kiesha that must be it
  22. Thanks guys yeah Caz Saffy is a sweetheart, she was great for the farrier today, Tiny was naughty again but we are getting those dancing feet under control so that's good :)
  23. It's great to hear he is doing well. I guess my only concern with your current vets is whether they have done much of this type of surgery, the intrahepatic is not an easy surgery and if I were you I'd try and find out who has the most experience doing this type of surgery and go with them. The current vets shouldn't be offended it makes sense to give your dog the best chance, the specialist I went to gave me that same advice, he said his clinics surgeon would be happy to do the surgery but if it was his dog it would be going to the surgeon who had the most experience with intrahepatic shunts. It's up to you of course but that's what I would do (and have done).
  24. Couple of tiny pony pics from today they got a little truck body shelter/stable in their paddock so of course Tiny is bold just goes straight in to check it all out
