  1. Oh Im sorry Shoey. They arnt with us long enough are they. She will meet my Wags. She looks like Wedge. Ratty smooshies.
  2. I loved him so much and Wedge will miss him too. He was cheeky and funny and loved me to play chaseings with him, he loved sunflower seeds and fruche, he sniffed Gilly and played with his ball. I will miss his cuddles and whiskery kisses. he loved me and I loved him.
  3. My Gilly when he plays with Bob makes the most dog awefull noises, vocal doesnt describe it. Anyway JRT's are uppity little people so they need to be socialised early and trained early, then when they become annoying bratty adolescents at least you have some training in there to control them. They also get bored so they need to have heaps of exercise and play to keep them busy. Best dogs in the world.
  4. I have to agree with Aber JRT's are wonderfull dogs. My boy Gilly adores kids and is very gentle with them. Hey LM why dont you just write a book on EVERYTHING. That way you can get it all out of your system.
  5. She waited for you and said good bye. What a wonderfull girl she was. She must have loved you and sean very much.
  6. Do you breed Zorro? With so many different types of dogs I was just interested how many you breed.
  7. There are kennells on the northside outside Armidale. At that time of the year it will be very cold -2--10 so you will need to have your dog inside, what about a B&B? Try them there is one here that is dog friendly but she still says outside.Or ring the RSPCA in Armidale they may have some ideas.
  8. ;) Damn I have a foster Kelpie who would love this, she is going to waste in my back yard herding my JRT and everything else. GB
  9. I m sorry to barge in here but I have a foster kelpie she is six months old and very nice temprement. She is fast and gutsy, but has a soft mouth. For a dog who has never had training she is surprising. I was wondering if any of you know of anyone who may give her a working or agility home. Please PM me if you do. GB
  10. My dogs love avos, they get a little in their salad. Talking of poos and barf, I ran out of food the other day, I was late home. And I have some dry food on hand I useas treats sometimes, so I gave my boys some for tea. God next day my yard has stinky poos in it.Their normal barf poos are white ina day and gone pretty fast and they dont smell. Never will I feed my dogs dry food again. it was the first time Gilly had ever had dry food as a meal, and he is nearly 3. My vet said he had never heard of barf, offered to lend him a book. Was not interested in 'fad' diets. hah GB

  13. :D I allways noticed that after good rain there were more ticks than usual. An old cattleman I knew used to put a penny in the dogs drinking water. Has anyone heard of this? Or shaved a penny for the copper.People do strange things with ticks I have know some who fed their dogs ticks to make them 'immune'. I knew one dog that had this done daily, the dog never got ill, but hey who wants to take the chance, anyway I thought the bloke was an idiot. Just interested in the old ways people used against tick. Anyone know of any? GillyBob
  14. Hi all Just something to add I lived in a high tick area for a long time used proban ect. I checked my doggies twice a day Found taking them for a swim in the dam/creak and then checking them made it a little bit easier to find ticks. Dont forget to check tails as well, my lab had one on his tail I missed that nearly killed him. Also I had a Lab and a Blue Healer the lab allways picked up ticks and the healer didnt get any.Although they went everywhere together. I beleive this was due to the type of coat the healer had. Jeff, I am sorry about your loss. GillyBob
  16. :D ;) Bigbum I sorry you lost your Berryll, she seems to have been a nice girl. people dont realise how much damage dogs can do to stock and how far dogs can travel when they are hunting in a pack. Dogs up here that do that get shot, because once they have hunted they will do it again. Your right to want them pts. GillyBob.
