If one of my lot was ill and the vet told me it would cost a large lump of money, I would have to seriously think about it for a while. You cant blame a person for not being able to pay. Its just a fact of life. I know that if one of my lot got bitten by a snake I couldnt afford the anti-venom. I know I would have to make the hard decisions. Im lucky I have only really had one op with my three, I was lucky the vet understood I couldnt afford a lot so she charged me a minimal cost. But in a situation where it was a big outlay of cash I would have to really think on it.

Anything is suitable for JRT's. My Loulou loves her ball, she is the soccer queen. You could give him a kong, fill it up with things he likes. Or a squeeky toy or even a bone. Bury things in the sand pit for him to find. Put some squeeky toys in the pool. JRTs need to be active, they are pretty smart and get bored, thats when they get into trouble. I find a good walk and a soccer game mostly keeps Loulou happy. But she also has two other dogs to play with.

I wouldnt have such a large entire dog in my yard. For most of the reason that have been stated. I few months ago I had a pair of retrievers in the front yard untill the ranger came. They were ok. We really dont have any services on the weekend up here.

He was friendly enough its, just that my JRTs arnt that fond of anyone bigger being in their yard. Would be a future pigging dog breeder. I told my neighbour he is a pigger and I thought he might know them. He has a cage he can put him in untill the owner is found.

I have just been walking my dogs and came across a young Great Dane roaming the street. He had followed a women to the park. And then followed me home. I know were he lives I peddled up there, its a party house, so proberly wont miss the dog untill next week. Knocked on the door but no answer. They have three other danes in a very small yard that they share with 4 cars. The ranger doesnt work on weekends, unless its cattle on the road or dog attack. So this poor boy is roaming the street. He is entire so someone will pick him up. I cant keep him here. People suck sometimes.

After the rain we get lots up here. They are really sticky.

Yep its eased off now but it was very windy. Didnt realise untill I got to the park and the trees were blowing sideways.

He got blown sideways on our walk this morning. He fell over.

My friend has a ball obsessed dog I sent it to her.

Yeh those lawn grubs are humongous up here. Maybe they have a scent.

Bob loves blackberies, I used to have to hold the bucket when i went picking. He used to pick his own, but loved to steal mine.

I was going to ask if you have had any rain Tris. Up here we get digging frogs that bury themselves. They come out when we get heavy rain. Digging Fauves oh nooooooosss

I have three dogs I walk them together. They each get time with me because Im home all but one day a week. I would never leave them home over the weekend. Id worry too uch about them. If I have to go away, two go to the kennels and one to my friends.

I was going to suggest the tinfoil hat pic. $1.75 is all I have. Will he pay?

I hope he is feeling better. When I walk my dogs up here, I have to constantly be on the look out for broken glass. Its a major problem, its everywhere. People throw bottles out of cars and break them, or just smash them on the footpath. It sucks.

Unwanted pups are still drowned up here. I found 6 one day, when I took my dogs down to the local river. They floated past me. On the property i lived on, the owner drowned unwated pups. A lot of farmers wont get their dogs desexed, reacon it changes them and they dont work as well.

Kelpiehoundmum, that last pic is the image of my Bob and he is also 14.

You just cant change them. I have one in my Tafe class, she lets her dogs have pups every year at least. There were two litters at the begining of last year and a litter at the end, now there is another litter. They are all cross bred Maltese, she tells everyone what great pups they are. Ive had to give up trying to educate her. She makes a lot of money out of them. When she tells the class I have to leave or Ill scream.

Im up in the Northern Tablelands of NSW we can have as many dogs as we want, as long as they dont annoy anyone. PS Spiff The first thing new members should do, is read the rules and regulations of this forum.
