  2. Does Jed have her surgery today ? I think lots of love & healing vibes will be needed. Be well Jed. fifi
  3. I agree with you But sometimes you just get wee one's who are so eager, that they will dive in mum's bowl. Or you have a really 'into it' mum will regurgitate for them. I figure if they are that keen so early, they are ready for a little taste or gum on a meaty bone. Hey Bailey's mum, how did they go with pink slushie ? fifi
  4. That just breaks your heart, when a happy dog is harmed in his own yard. Sounds like tyson will be much loved in his recovery. poor boy, and poor owners. fifi
  5. Oh Darlin', you did a wonderful thing, it was needed at the time and so speedily done. If Magnus had been alive, it would probably have been your actions that would have had him found Thank you for your quick actions. I'm just so sad it wasn't to be fifi
  6. I was just saying to a lovely dol'er, my heart absolutley aches for what Jed will have to learn when she is well enough. Hopefully the love of her family, friends and hundreds of caring DOL'ers & the dog community will give her some strength. fifi

  11. Of course you havn't offended anyone Harminee, you are one of DOL's most caring and thoughtful people I think yours is a lovely idea, it just might be better to wait for Jed's imput before we act. fifi xxxx
  12. Totally agree, Jed has always been a very private person, rather than buying memorials, donate to the MDBA / pacers and then Jed can decide how she would like to memorialise her family. fifi
  13. Wendy or Steve, could you send a press release to CCCQ too please ? fifi
  14. OH YESSSS.....it will be messy ! but with the teenys you can at least do the pan on the ground, wolfies at that age are noddy blobs, so you end up doing one at a time in your lap or arm, which of course means wearing pink slushie ! let us know how they go fifi
  15. Just thinking out loud here, has anyone been in touch with canine council QLD ? It might be a good idea for them to have the basics, ie the banking details and the addy for cards, and a contact person or web addy for the MDBA for statements / media / dog people to get updates. ect. And a few real facts, as I've noticed on a few groups / mailing lists that the facts are becoming a bit frayed with the re-telling. fifi
  16. They are telling you they are ready to try solids !!!! We use the 'pink slushie' very lean, fine grade beef mince with hot milk poured over, mix with your fingers to form a pink warm porridge. You'll soon see who's more than ready !!! The little breeds seem to grow up so fast ! fifi
  17. We online are the lucky one's, we can step away from this thread and cuddle our dogs when its too much. But the team on the ground up there and steve are the one's who have all my admiration. Thank dog you are there. There will be enough horror & grief for Jed to confront when she leaves hospital - but now thanks to the team, she will have a resting place where her dogs are, to grieve over. fifi
  18. Exactley what CBL said. I couldn't sleep much, kept waking up teary with thought of Jed & her dogs. I hope all the love & candles winged their way to her last night. card going today. fifi

  22. I'm in. We all need a way to focus this grief, anxious wait & worry, and what better way than a candle. I have a beautiful apple cider candle I've been saving for something really special. And a ritual to send Jed & her dogs our love is more than special. Thanks wolfgirl fifi
