  1. C'mon, spill the beans !!! Is it a big fringie ribbon ?? fifi
  2. OMG, OMG, OMG...Just caught up with this thread after a two day absence, and looooky what I find !!!! Oh Jed, its wonderful to see you........ *sniff*......sorry, more dust in my eye's.... The candle for you and your furfamily has been lit here every evening (real candles.....our local gift shop has done a roaring trade since you were in hospital !!!!) good dog it was good to see your post, have to edit as the photos only just loaded for me in your posts, the grief must be unbearable, but I can only hope that the time your body takes to heal, will be time for your soul to heal too. fifi
  3. Exellent point aj2251, yes, we recommend phyllium husks for the littlies too, as they don't often don't chew bones or get enough roughage for their poos to firm up, which is what anal glands need to self maintain. fifi
  4. What Sandra said. If the dog's worming is reglular and they have raw bones to chew, then they should be self maintaining. Having said that, we do have quite a few of the teenyweeny dogs that have their's expressed at vaccination / checkup time. The only dog of my own I've ever had to do, was because of a developing infection issue. fifi
  5. OMG, that would be a living nightmare :-( I so hope someone has information & they are recovered safe & sound. fifi
  6. I need laces on my sketchers / sneaker things, or I just run straight out of the elastic or velcros ! I have dead flat skinny feet as well, and need the tight support laceups give me. Plus I have had ACL & kneejoint injuries as a teen and have to feel good grip or over I go. fifi
  7. Sketchers have some great looking shoes with knobbly rubber soles, also some of the sketcher looking golf shoes are awesome. I have a pair of rivers lace ups with really grippy rubber knobbly soles and they have lasted for years. fifi
  8. Oh thank you goldchow for this wonderful news. I can only imagine how much Jed has to come to terms with :-( But what a wonderful family & friends & supporters she has. This much attention would be overwhelming. Jed's only job is to get well :-) fifi
  9. Oh dog, you're right Dyzney....poor Jed is facing hospital gruel, and here we are in the wait room eating pudding & hot choccies !!! sorry Jed, we promise to make you a fresh batch of something yum when you are back :-))) Hurry & get better, there have been some thread that rooooooolly needed your amazing way with words & effective ass kicks !!! fifi
  10. Just what the doctor ordered Gayle, a booootiful puppy and some happy balance. I must admit was just about to try blocking my view of general this week to avoid any more screaming at the monitor !! fifi
  11. The wild dog problem is now most often domestic dogs gone wild & interbred with the native dog. All of the attacks in our area have been packs of wild domestic dogs (first hand sightings, trapped dogs, shot & poisoned dogs) the xbred wild dogs are bigger and will take on a calf or young cow now, not just lambs or birthing ewe's that were the norm years ago. Most of the real dingo's around here tend to be in the most isolated areas of the national parks. fifi
  12. its a few days. lort smith because i dont like my local vet and i have always gone to lort smith because my mother got her dog from there also any money there goes towards helping other animals in need I give up I can go to work and see this on a weekly basis......exept we have to mop up the mess. I am picturing many rescuers shouting at the screen. fifi
  13. An accident yes, many, many people have had them. But by waiting & waiting, you are stalling. Since you first posted you could have had her in & desexed by now at any vet recommended by rescue or breeders. Of course the longer you leave it the more chance of having to whelp a litter :-( fifi
  14. Totally agree. And Kristina, I wouldn't be contemplating return studs ect. I'd be planning how fast I could report his ass to his states' canine body. From what you've described, his actions must at the very least indicate a breach of the COE. fifi
  15. thanks for the update Toohey, keep improving Jed :-)) *wanders past BB's lovely healthy breaky and dives straight into a bowl of coco pops and coffee !!! can't be good all the time !! fifi
  16. stef, by waiting another 14 days for your appointment, you are obviously trying to have this litter. DO something NOW to avoid more unwanted pups. here is the other thread for those who havn't seen it. http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?showtopic=197348 fifi
  17. Because they see the lure of the almighty $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ for mongrels with a fancy name. fifi
  18. From one of my posts in your thread in General: Stef, if its a moral / ethical / emotional objection to terminating a pregnancy, think about the possibility of an emergency ceasarian, and the reality of a huge unwanted x-bred litter to raise, vaccinate, microchip, desex and find loving forever homes for. Believe me, immediate desexing or using the Alizin injection which ceases the pregnancy is a much better solution. fifi
  19. All the above answers, and a further NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO way in hell from me. Chained ? sorry, I think even thinking about a repeat is being way too polite. fifi
  20. As I said in your other thread, is there a reason you can't desex her immediatley ? or take her for alizin injections ? I'm assuming this is a xbred & unwanted litter ? fifi

    Leo

Oh GM, I'm so sorry to read this. run free Leo. from our hound family to yours GM...many hugs. fifi
  22. Great to hear the Fauve population just 'exploded' I'm glad she is a nice example Trish, as it was just a random search on youtube for a Fauve being shown ! she does look lovely and so happy :D Yes, I had to giggle at the very casual looking indoor show. I was looking at that wrinkled floor mat and TEENY ring area, and laughing at the thought of me careering around with a wolfhound, either tripping on the rug or crashing through five rows of spectator seating as we got into stride !!! and here I thought some of the big grass rings here weren't big enough !! (big for me...small for my hounds !!!) fifi
  23. :-)) here you go, sort of what I was doing, but WITH a dog on a lead ! yes, strange how not an soul even looked up when I had an imaginary dog on an imaginary lead !!! fifi
  24. There's only been a few sirens out this way in ten years, so I don't know ! but wolfhounds just love a good howl, no excuse needed !!!!LOL!!! fifi
  25. I'll PM you scruffy. so we can keep the 101 threads for purebred information. fifi
