that is some serious teeth action going on there!

Tez, I might just have to borrow one off Trish if I can't find one. The pup was vaccinated a few of weeks ago so I think he is about 4 months. He was the cruisiest little boy, just ran around with the other dogs like he had been doing it since day dot! Lovely natured little fella, his name is Harry. Even Sean was smitten with him.

Hi Tanya, I do get my omega oil and worm pills there, and the odd jacket, but they don't have eagle pack. They also have a new type of cat food that comes in a frozen roll they make it there.

Gorgeous Bec, I just seen these shots on Facebook. Jata would have to be happy with them. What a lovely happy girl.... Love the tounge!!

go Daisy!! Husky I hope you made the RE agent another sandwich!!

How cheeky is this picture Bronson "is that roast I smell" Chicken dinner I tried so hard to get all the 10 dogs together for a picture but it just didn't happen, they were to busy running and having a good time!

A few more shots from today, we had a great time, My friend has two of Bronsons brothers, and we visit her a few times a year, she made us a beautiful roast pork lunch and dessert was apple sponge and afternoon tea was lemon merangue pie needless to say I haven't had tea yet! This is Cooper looking for the cars through a secret hole in the wall

Well I for one would shop at your shop JJ, Im sure you would have all the good stuff. I avoid the pet shops here cause they are very ordinary, thats why I go nuts in Geelong and Melb but suprisingly I didn't buy anything at all today so not like me The harness wasn't a tracking harness as such but an ezy dog harness so not to bad for $40 but more than I want to spend because I more than likely will only need to use it for tracking and we only do it a couple of times a year. Wish we could do it more often but with Sunday training we don't get a chance and then there is not always the interest. I know your right about 5 dogs, OH and I have had a little chat and it went something like....Me: how about we get another puppy?? OH: over my dead body!!!!!! Me: that can be arranged No serioulsy I would love another one but 4 is just a great number for me, I can take them all on lead or off lead and I think adding another would probly upset the apple cart so to speak!! But after spending the day with this little fella you can see why I would be puppy clucky, isnt he cute!!

great shots as usual!! Lola looks like that basket was made for her. and I agree with Shell, Daisy looks like an angel, how could she possibly be evil?!!

Yes you would think we would have a better variety but sadly not! Even pet stock don't have a good range of premium dry food, they told me they don't sell enough of it and it goes out of date. So if I want to buy it from there I have to get them to order it in, I think RJ does the same thing. I don't think many people around town feed their dogs premium dog food. Mostly we get ours on the way through Geelong if we are out and about.
-
Thanks Jess my OH suggested the same thing. I knew I'd be pushing my luck around town! I don't even go into PGD anymore, and the lava st pet shop is sooooo overpriced and their range is practically non existent. By the way pet stock has some good specials this week, 20% off some dry food, I will be comparing prices with best friends, in geelong today they had Eagle Pack 15 kilo for $98 which I though was pretty good.

The beach sounds like it was great Jj, I love it when there is no one around. No training for us today, we have been on a road trip to Bacchus Marsh for a big dog day. 10 dogs had a ball running around my friends 5 acres, I got some good pics I will post some later. Jj, did you end up applying for your 5th dog permit? Just curious I would love another one but not sure if council would be an issue?? Linda the galahs sound like a right royal pest! Tez, did you go to training today? We stopped at best friends in Geelong for me to get a tracking harness for Tully but the one I wanted was $40 so I left it there... I would use Coopers but it is to big for her, so I'll have to have a look around warrnambool for one. Still have 2weeks till the tracking day.

Thanks for that I will check it out. Lexi from eagle pack had told me the anchovy might be an option for Cooper as it has the least amount of protien, but sound like it would not be any good for him as he is very active when we are out and about and hard to keep weight on. Thanks for the advice!
-
Yep that's what I thought, I think I will stick to the natural and see how we go, I have a few sample bags of the holistic select in the anchovy to try so once we have totally swapped over to EP I will give them a try on it.

Nice CM, very nice!

I'm thinking this is the plan to occasionally add things they have already been having, fish, eggs etc only before it was all mixed in the one mix, they do love veggies so will also get our left overs mixed in too. Tonight was the first night with more dry and less meat and veg, all good but Tully just turn her nose up, she is not big on dry but I'm hoping she will warm to the idea. I haven't heard of the Ian b barf. Mine all love bones but raw was an issue as I said earlier on. I don't know why Im stressing over it, I just want the best for them. Our old dog had raw meat and veg his whole life and all left overs with a supermarket dry food and he lived till he was 16.
-
I'm guessing there is no need to add the omega 3 & 6 to the dry food? I added this to their meat and veg mix.

Jj love your new avatar, very cute! Have you had any luck with your ring in girl yet? Or is she a keeper??

as I read your post I was reading the little bone shaped pet stock catalogue that came in yesterdays mail.

Well at least you are onto it, getting weight off is so bloody hard. Bron and Lacy are my tough ones, I am going to have to be extra vigilant over winter, I have already noticed that they seem a lot more hungrier despite no change in thier diet and with out as many walks due to the wet days, Im really cracking down. I have just started a thread this morning about changing over to all dry with bones. chick necks/wings etc. So I will see how that goes hopefully it won't be too hard to make the transition. Sean says he will feel sorry for the dogs on dry only but I did say they will have bones etc so it wont be so bad! He thinks about it in human terms he said "what if I fed you the same thing every night you wouldnt like it " I just said well I probly wouldn't but I am human NOT a dog!! Men arghhhhhh!!!

Ah ok, I see, Geez Linda if I was cashed up I'd give you a loan. It must be a pain in the butt to live out of town with no wheels!! Good luck..
-
Is it possible he has got an ear infection??
-
Geez Linda, more bad luck about your car! Whe you say you put an add in the paper for a loan, I'm a bit confused don't you go to a bank or have I missed something? Hope you get it sorted soon!!
-
8 kilos in 2 months, bloody he'll that seems like a lot, I would not have said she looks any different now than she looked 2 months ago? Did you see the scales? Maybe one of the weigh ins was wrong? Although she may be more keen now to polish off anything in front of her because of Gus! I wouldn't stress too much, she gets good solid excersise and at least you know she is burning a lot of it off.

Hi Jules thanks for the advice, I do cook the meat and veggies, it was hit and miss with raw feeding, I tried without much success as two were ok ( ish) with raw but two weren't keen at all so cooked was better as I didn't have to fuss about who had eaten what and cook two lots and feed two lots of raw. My oldest is already on full time dry with bones/ chicken as he went days on end with no food due to not eating the meat and veg, at present we are slowly sorting through a blood in pee problem with him ( not sure if it is food related yet) but he is doing well on the dry only, and at least he will eat it. I tried my oldest on pro plan but he just wouldn't eat it, but the eagle pack he took to right away so I stuck with it. I hope they don,t Jack up after eating meat and veg with changing to dry but I think if I also give the necks wings bones etc, they will be happy with that. My OH thinks it will be awful for them to be having dry food as their staple each day. He also thinks the eagle pack will work out more expensive but i have done a few calculations and the way I have worked it out it will be very close in price by the time you take into account the human grade mince which you can,t get for much under $5 these days and if it is cheap it is also very fatty. Another reason to change is the two that are over weight I think will be easier to manage with dry as I can regulate their intake with a bit more certainty that they are getting the right quantities, if that makes sense. Also I am already buying eagle pack for Cooper so in the long run I think the cost will be a lot less. The cost is not really a concern it is more the quality and from what I have read and also spoke to the lady ( lexi ) at the company, eagle pack seems like the best one for us! The only thing I think about the more premium brands is the amount you actually feed, it just doesn't seem like much, for Cooper who is 18 kilos his amount is about 1 3/4 and for the younger ones who are under 14 kilos it will be less. They might think they are on rations to begin with but at the end of the day if it doesn't suit them I can always change back!!
