  1. Any advice on the transition from old to new?? I'm thinking maybe half the usual and half eagle pack? And gradually build up to all eagle pack? Or would half and half be to much to quick? Any thoughts greatly appreciated!!
  2. Hi guys, I have bee debating about changing my 3 younger dogs from a diet of meat and veg to dry only. I just had a few niggling things on my mind that I though I would seek the opinion from other dog lovers and see what they though. First to feed only dry, I would still give them chicken necks wings frames and also bones. My OH thinks that if they have dry they will get sick of it being the same thing all the time and he can't get his head around it. At the moment they are fed, human grade beef, chicken, turkey, lamb and vegetables. Usually one of the meats at a time depending what I buy but mostly beef as their main meat, with this they have vegetables different ones, pumpkin, carrots, corn, sweet potato, caulie, potatoe, cabbage, broc, zucchini and rice. A couple of times a week they have bones also chicken wings, necks, frames. Their diet is consistent but varys In that I judge how much they are fed depending on what we have done for the day, for eg if we have had a full on day and they have had lots of excersise then they might get a little extra or if they have done nothing for the day they may get a little less. This works for us and they are all healthy, shiney coats etc. Oh I forgot to add they have a small amount of super coat mixed with their meat and veg, which is probably no nutritional value at all......! I want to swap them to full time eagle pack, for the ease of feeding, I can monitor better the amounts each one should have (two are on the heavy side ) so I know I should gradually swap them over but should I do this with the meat/ veg mix or just go super coat and eagle pack and forget the meat and veg in the swap over? I'd be really interested to hear from others if they have done similar and how you went about it. I'm open to suggestions. Thanks for reading.
  3. I wouldn't use it for a small puppy and definitely wouldn't use it in a crate with a closed door. They are low voltage and they have a cord that attaches to the bed that can be unplugged. You could use it in a way that you head the bed then unplug the cord but I think it would go cold pretty quick. Edited due to predictor txt making me look like a illiterate!
  4. If anyone is keen to buy a heated pet bed, the reject shop has them cheap. They had small medium and large $25, $35, and $50. I got a couple of medium sized ones a while ago for $50 that were reduced from over $100 and the reject shop ones are the tail waggers brand.
