Rocco our even was awesome, not a huge amount of people maybe around 200. But allt he dogs were well behaved, there was one snappy kelpie but the guy put a muzzle on him and it was all good. I seen two that slipped thier collars and I'm afraid to say that one of them was mine but it was fine I don't even think she realized she was off and I called her back and she just came and sat and her collar went back on (I did tighten it up as well ) We didn't have any flash events like fly ball, they just had a few awards at the end. Bruno is an English Mastiff, he is 18 months old. He belongs to DOLer Tim & Tanya, he is a lovely boy a real gentle giant! I was actually suprised by all the pure breds, they were clearly the majority. And such a diverse range as well which was great to see. Apart from my lot there were only 2 other oodles that I seen and one of them was Coopers brother. There was two goergous harlequin (sp) great danes they were just stunning, we have seen them before on our travels. One family had 3 Airdales, they were lovely. I also seen only one Mastiff like Red, not as deep a red in color as your boy but lovely all the same!! A couple of Bernese mountain dogs, just beautiful. Lots of GSP, a white shepard and JJ named a few more above. But all the dogs and the people had a lovely day and the weather was great too which was a bonus. My highlight of the day was when a lady asked if I could line my 4 up for a photo and they sat and stayed while she took the picture, a little while later a lady came up to me and said how well trained they were and it was a credit to me, so that really made my day!!

Hi Tenties, sounds like your housemates being a pain...Tell him there will be blood shed if your fur kids end up as road kill :-( Like you I would have been furious, doesn't he get that most dogs have no road sense??
-
Great shot Ruth, her expression is priceless!!
-
Well done, your work is nothing short of absolutely awesome!!

Thanks Tez. I agree about Cooper but of course I would!! The people that bred Cooper only had two litters and his brother in the picture was from the first litter so he is 2 years older than Cooper and I was suprised by how similar they were, but Buster was smaller, so far Cooper has been the biggest dog out of both litters at around 18 kilos the smallest female is about 9 kilos and Cooper mum was only 7 kilos and his dad was 14kilos. So a real mix with the lot of them! Funny though I always call Cooper the big boy but he looked Tiny next to Boof and Bruno, now them are big boys!!

thats cute, mine love long grass too, they bound through it like kangaroos!!

Great shots the doggies looked like they were enjoying themselves, the weather looked great down there! We did our local one I just posted pics too. but unlike you I posted about 40. I love the Albert park MPW it is great to see so many dogs all getting along and everyone having a nice day. Here was great too but people wise a much smaller scale!

Bruno and Boof both won a prize for being among the biggest dogs on the day Keep an eye out in the paper this week there might be some familiar doggy faces!

Hi guys, just wanted to share some pics I took today at our local Million Paws Walk. Pic quality not the best as I used my little point and shoot. All my lot ready to go. There were lots of people this year and the weather was great (usually it is raining) My girl Tully with her precious ball! Some nice doggies wanting to play with each other Not sure what this doggy was but he was very fluffy and cute.

I have also had issues with the dogs chewing wood chips/bark, not now that they are older it's all good. Lacy got a piece stuck in her mouth once wedged on the top between her teeth, took me ages to get it out, and I was glad I was home at the time as it could have been worse had it stayed there for a long time. We have red gravel in part of our yard but I wouldn't think it would be to much different than what you already have. What about fake grass in part of the area?
-
Ha don't even joke about it it has already been recommended by a few people. Just couldn't see myself hooking a trailer on and off every day, to much like hard work plus our place is not set up to back yard access for vehicles, while we have the room we don't have the means to access it, and no room out the front as we have a steep front yard and drive way. Not sure I could see my lot in a dog trailer, I think they would sook too much, although I wouldn't hear them would I :D Well I like your little fellas name, do you have any recent pics? How did you go about council? When I got my permit for Bron, they did a door knock in the area to check with neighbours and make sure they were all fine about it and that was it. Also they ask that all the dogs be registered but that goes with out saying! Haven't got to the pics yet, I am back and forth to hear while cooking my Lamb roast dinner.

Hey Tez, I had been keeping an eye on this thread as I have also had a similar problem in the past with my youngest boy. I think for the time being till your new pup settles in, keep doing what your doing and see if it continues. If it does you may need a different approach to correct the problem.

I have only ever met her once and that was a long time ago, she doesn't come to any work functions with her OH, but I did speak to her on the phone the other day and she sounded Lovely!!
-
I agree with you Jess, even a little of the energy my 4 have would make my day more productive If the Jan your talking about is the one I think it is, her OH is my boss!! Does she do obedience at Harris St with Brown Lab Abbey? or is it a different one?
-
JJ, I don't know how you do it with the pups, I would be bawling for days Great that the buyers keep you informed how the pups are going, it must be great getting updates on them all. I was going to ask the same as Tez, also how do you pronounce his name ie: Vitasz/Vytasz?? Definatley be up for a walk to meet the litte guy. Maybe we could do a walk one day at Albert park, its been great up there latley minus the horses but we have coped with them when they have been there, actually I have been pleasantly suprised with my lot they have been very well behaved around the horses we have come across latley. Tez, re: the car ..........NO :D imagine my 4 in the back of your car, what a sight although now you have two you might have to upgrade to a doggy wagon like me. Mind you I think the OH is going to drive me spare with keeping it nice and (new) looking, what a joke with my four but I will try. :D The MPW was excellent I will post some photos later, they came out ok considering I was only using the little point and shoot that I can't stand! Tenties sounds like you are still having all the fun joys of shifting in. It will be RJ's turn next!! If and when you have the BBQ Im sure everyone will be happy to bring thier own meat and drinks, we could all bring a salad and all you would have to supply is the gas for the BBQ!!

Helen that's great!!

Hi guys, just thought I would do a quick update...... I got my car :D We decided on another commodore Wagon, it is a Berlina International, so it is a bit flash inside it had under 100,000 kms on the clock and the price was right so even though it is a few years old we thought it was a good deal. It is in immaculate condition, only thing we have to do now is fit a cargo barrier. And we decided to keep my old wagon for OH for work and we traded his old old work car, so we have two very dog friendly cars with plenty of room which is great!! Heres a few pics We took CJ with us he looks happy to be getting a new car Here we are at the petrol station. these are not the best pics but it was late in the day. Anyway very happy with it and glad we decided to go for another wagon, It is comfy and still practical for the pups!!
