Not all backyard bred puppies go onto to the fate depicted in this picture! The other side of the coin is I'm sure there is pure bred dogs that end up in similar situations. It should be more about education on breeding practices etc. I wouldn't have my dogs if it wasn't for backyard breeders so I am not against them as such just against the way some of them go about it and the practices they use. Same could be said for Pure bred breeders, plenty of dodgy ones around. Like anything there is good and bad in everything these days.

Hankdog, thats so cute, he looks totally unamused! your second shot is not showing up, I think you have the code with to many img's at the start and end?

When our old boy went, we had him cremated and picked out a wooden box, it has his photo embossed on the top with a name and date plaque on it. It sits in a cabinet with his collar and lead. So sorry for your loss.

Awww he looks so cute! I'm looking forward to meeting him tommorrow!

Fab photos, I love the one of all the boys in the water too, just lovely. How far did you move? Sounds like you will be vey happy there!

I was outside doing some pics of the dogs and cat today and a bee was right near me on the grass, not moving much so I snapped a few shots, I think he might have had a damaged wing. In this shot, he is flapping his one wing that is damaged, look like it is going flat out.

Great shots guys, especially love your last one Huga, love the little bokeh balls on the tree, are the xmas lights on or is it reflection from decoration? Ping great perspective in that last shot! RV, love your shot of Zora, she looks so cheeky, how is she going without Toby around?

Nice Huga, love that third one of Sid he looks like he is laughing!

JJ, our beach walk was the sitandstay good dog Xmas break up. It was a bit tough for some as they couldn't let their dogs off and tough for the ones that cold as they and to keep them under very close control as to not stir up the on leash ones. (Some DA and some with no recall) We will have to organise another walk soon, I'd love to go to Kilarney one day, so much better for walking. Seriously the sand down there was aweful. We went from the flume. Yes Jzz and Ash are lovely, their Dane Zuess is huge but very friendly although Lacy didn't think so. every time he got close to her she headed for behind my legs, so strange to see such an outgoing little dog so scared, but she has always been the same with any GD we have ever come across, I think it is the size!

I have no idea, I make the photo in PS and add the text in picasa, its so easy and if you make a collage in picasa you can go back and edit it at any time. I only use PS for a couple of things. I wish I had more time to watch some tutorials and learn how to use it properly. I use LR4 for all my editing other than collages and text.

Yea composites sure are time consuming! lol. You know what you could have also done, once you had the dogs all on the one page you could have put a xmas texture over the back wall. I thought they would be so hard to do but they are so easy. Snook helped me with a tutorial, smooth coated dogs would be super easy too. Anyway it looks great, but come on really you didnt need to do a composite you could have got them all sitting nicely with hats on couldn't you? I have tried with my guys, I have 100'2, 1000's of the four of them together but getting the head gear to stay on while I shoot the photo, not going to happen! only managed to get one to stay on!

Lauras new puppy Hunter with Zuess Of course two of my guys scamming treats of someone they don't even know. Cooper and Lacy didn't know what to make of Zuess, he is soooo big! I only seen Hunter 2 weeks ago and I think he has doubled in size in that time.

RJ, how did Russells first night go? We went for our beach walk on Sunday, boy it was windy down there, the sea was roaring and the sand was so soft, not a good combo for me, but we had a short walk them onto the cafe near the surf club for lunch. Shannon and Zuess We even had a bit of rain.

Thats excellent M&Dm, Are you using PS 6, it has an action in it called content aware fill, you could have totally wiped out that beam behind the dogs, its a great tool for getting rid of stuff. I keep looking at both of them, I quite like the first one but the second one looks more natural. Is that Diva in the middle, she looks psyched for Christmas. Benson looks so happy too!

I didn't think to try amazon, I know they can be iffy with what they sent to OZ. I'll check them out. Thanks.

Day 17 Just got a package in the post, My sister sent me her SLR, they were going to throw it out. she asked me if I wanted it and I said hell yes. It's practically mint, they hardly used it and paid over $1000 for it. On ebay now they are selling for $120 So sad! Anyhow I put the batteries in and it won't go so I am assuming they are flat, so I'm going to check out ebay for some new batteries and some film.

I seen a you tube video with the strap attached to the lens, do you find that distributes the weight better. I'd be worried about the lens hanging from the camera but I guess holding the lens in the case of the 2.8 is the same as holding the camera.
-
I had a look on ebay, all pretty pricey there. I have ordered an elcheapo from OS so I'll try that out. But I want a decent one then OH can have the cheapy for his 650D Not sure where else to look for a cheap one. Did you get yours from Black Rapid? I'm assuming the postage would be expensive from the US, I didn't look into that.
-
CC your shots are lovely and bright, what lens did you use? They sure don't look impressed! I took some of my guys by the tree last night, I'll have to pop a couple in here!
-
Great shots Pers, your camera does a fab job for a P&S. are you using manual mode? Great DOF in these shots!

Thank, I have been looking at he black rapid range, here is so many. it's hard to know which one. I thought there might have been a few more replies in here, maybe a lot of people don't use these? How big is the pocket in the shoulder pad bit, big enough for car keys and CF card? I can't wait to get one!
