That's great perhaps I'll wait and see how you go and then decide. I have a friend in the US who has been trying to talk me into getting a flash, he said it will help immensely. He is an awesome photographer and really knows his stuff so I'm considering it. Wish photography wasn't such an expensive sport. I also meant to add my friend mentioned this brand when first explaining to me about how to use a flash the right way. He said they are a great flash for a good/not to exxy price. I've only just learnt how to use the flash compensation in the quick menu, didn't even know you could do that!

I just seen this on Facebook. Love it!

Oh thats excellent and thanks for adding the settings. Did you decide on a flash, I want to get one too and am looking at a 580 exii but a friend told me that ones you mentioned in your other thread are quite good for the price. So I am still thinking about it. I am hoping to get the 70 -200 f4 Probly not for xmas but hopefully not long after, i have been tossing up between the 85mm and the 70 - 200 so I hope I have made the right decision!

Awesome shots, would you mind sharing the settings you used? Did you decide on your new lens?

So a conversation earlier on facebook and a few days ago prompted this thread, I would like to get a camera strap that goes over your shoulder for ease of having the camera hanging one minute and being a ble to shoot the next but without having a camera around my neck, My camera is heavy and with a bad back and neck I think a strap would be awesome, only think is I haven't got a clue which one. Monet & Divas mum has a double Black Rapid and she said it is awesome. I would prefer just one strap> I am liking one but am open to suggestions if anyone has any to offer. One of my facebook friends has a take off of a black rapid he got it off ebay and said its great. If anyone has pictures that would be awesome too. :)

Oh Alkhe, your little foster is a cutie! I jinxed myself posting in here, I have had presents under my tree and the tree up for a week and the dogs have shown no interest, this thread reminded me I had to decorate it, and I had 4 little helpers.

I have the tree on the coffee table and presents all around it, even chocolates wrapped up. Have done the same for the last 5 years with my lot, they never touch anything. They stay inside for 5 hours at a time during the week while I am at work.

Great shots guys! I took lots of photos today, we had our Xmas Dog Obedience break up, but I managed to narrow it down to two. These were taken with the 40mm Pancake, fabulous little lens, I love it!

Thought I'd pop a couple more in here, This is my cat Holly, I snapped these in my office, no light on and it was very dull, I have tweaked the exposure in LR to make them a little lighter. iso was 3200 f2.8 1/40 100 Macro lens

I am yet to find a lady bug! CC, I think the trouble was as I was so close the eye (tentacle things) were on a different focal plane to the rest of the snail so had difficulty getting both in focus, when I used a smaller aperture to get more in focus I think there just wasn't enough light to cope with it. I will have to have another go with better light, I have never seen so many snails in our yard after yesterday rain, but just left my run to late to get some better shots.

Whoop Whoop, thats great, hoping for a nicer day Sunday, not to hot and not to cold, please and thanks! Jess we don't start back to training till 20th Jan, but maybe we could organize a dog walk sometime before that? Jj would a sunday arvo suit you? I'm sure Shannon would love to come too. Maybe we could get the old crew back together again, we haven't had a catch up for ages!

Fantastic shots, I was hoping someone would post some. The problem I had was I just couldn't get the camera to focus on the bit that has the eye in it, I don't even know what it is called. It was late and the light was aweful but even with the flash on some shots there wasn't one I liked! I'll post some later and you can see what I mean.
