I can't do the fingers int he mouth either, it wold be so handy! I am a hopeless whistler, thats one of the reasons I got the whistle. All I did to condition my guys was hubby with food in one room and a whistle and me with food in another room and a whistle. We did a back and forth about 10 times, they had it down pat. :laugh: Put it in to practice out and about and bam instant recall. However I don't use it all the time manily only if I go places where they can go out of sight and I want them back in a hurry.

Pesh there is heaps of reviews and tutorials on you tube if you are able to view them it might be easier than reading.

Maybe thats why mine didn't bat an eye, it wasnt a frequency they responded too!

I use a posties whistle with my guys but only very occasionally, I take it if I know I will be somewhere that I want them to come back immediately as they all respond very well to the whistle. I have never used a dog whistle but was with someone one day who had one and they didn't bat an eye when it was whistled, not sure why? MIne instantly know whistle means treats. :laugh:

poor Chan, hope she went ok. Jj that sucks such a long day! What you said about too hot to go shopping, our shoppers never got that memo! It amazes me how many people still shop at work. But one guy today practically abused me because we didn't have air conditioning. :laugh: people never cease to amaze me!!

Hi guys, how's everyone coping with the heat? It's a shocker out there already and only early! I have to go to work. I'm not looking forward to it and even thought about calling in sick, but I've managed on hot days before only just! Hoping there is no fires. My lot will be inside with the fans going and luckily my house is still nice and cool. Stay safe everyone.

The 40mm looks good and a reasonable price, remembering you will have to be pretty close to your subjects if you want good close ups. 40mm at DWI I think Snook has the 105mm HERE she might chime in, I know she was super pleased with it. There is a few with Tamron macros too, I think CC has a Tamron? There is also a 60mm micro in Nikon as well. HERE You probly need to work out how much you have to spend and how much distance you want to be from your subject and take it from there. Macro is a lot of fun!

would it be blasphemous to do a year of iphone snaps? :laugh: Thats why i started the iphoneopgraphy thread, I am always snapping things on my iPhone! I have decided whether it be iphone or regular camera I am going to do it, but my challenge to myself is going to be all four of mine together. So my first shot for the year will be one from my iPhone. 1/52 1/52 part 2

I really want to do this this year but not sure I want to commit again, Ive done it the last 3 years only finishing two all the way through, we technically only one as I haven't done Lacys final photo. :laugh: I sometimes feel bad as I make do some weeks with an iphone snap as life just gets in the way. I guess I have a week to decide.

Great shots! Mr Red dog, did they have two lots going off at the same time, they look like they were synchronised how cool!! Can you share your settings for the fireworks, mine were iso 100 f/8 3 second exposure, and the other camera similar but f/9 2.5 second exposure. Love Sid and Lola, what a pair!

I only have a cheapy ebay one as well, it works ok although I have to be reasonably close to the camera for it to work.
