  2. I was going for a look but not now. worse possible weekend to be sick. I'm missing so much! Happy Australia Day everyone!
  3. I sure hope so, think its working so far. Happy shot of Zora!
  4. RV, lovely pictures! Huga such a thoughtful image! I was so very lucky yesterday for my mum coming to visit, she surprised me, I had no idea she was coming. She came to help look after me while I am sick. This photo was just an iphone snap tonight after she cooked me and OH the best lamb roast ever! Love my mum!! Day 56
  5. Iv'e been using LR 4 since it first came out and I don't know how they keep improving it. I am using some LR3 presets and they work fine and you can just add your own touches too. Sometimes the little astrix things pops up and it reverts back to LR3 settings but I don't find this a problem either. I only just did a webinar the other day on LR and tips for using it successfully. Most of it I already knew but I did get a bit out of it. Although I don't use it the way it is intended and I mostly only use it as an editing tool exporting all my pics edited and unedited then to HDD. Do you guys know about LR killer tips? have a looky HERE Just down on the right hand side is about 13 pages of presets and brushes, when you get to the bottom of the page in presets you go to previous I think the pages start at the end and you go back to the previous page for more. Hope that makes sense.

    Spud

    What a gorgeous boy!
  8. Salukibel, can't see your picture!
  9. You made me laugh with this post! Cooper is the wise old guy although only 6 I think he has been here before! (He is the oldest) Tully is the always smiley one, she is a beautiful girl. Both my girls are Delta hospital visiting dogs and they do an awesome job, so proud of them. The ones on either side are are Lacy next to Cooper and Bronson next to Tully. Seriously if they see me with the camera and treats they look for the nearest chair to all jump on together and they are all obedience trained so they know stay well. Any photos you see of all of them together and looking bored or away from the camera, you know I have no treats! although Cooper occasionally bucks the system and won't look at the camera. People who meet them a few times always seem to develop a favourite, Cooper and Tully especially have many fans, then Lacy and Bronson doesn't win a lot of hearts (except mine of course) he is loud, talks a lot and demanding of attention and cuddles and the little brother of the family, he just turned 5, very cocker in nature and I think he will be forever the puppy! But he is the funniest most loving happy boy ever! One of his biggest fans is his breeder who we see a couple of times a year. They are all first gen English Cocker cross Mini Poodles, except Cooper he is second gen. Think I've rambled on enough  I do love my doggies so much!
  10. Thanks Huga, got whooping cough so hopefully the meds will kick in soon, it's an awful thing. Nice shots, love love love he spaghetti face!
  11. I haven't been far still sick. Day 55
  12. Mine came in the mail yesterday, I ordered two, one for me and one for a friend, postage $10. I already had one of these that I got on special somewhere for $15 they were usually $30 in some shops. Gotta love a bargain! Thanks.
  13. I think this question needs to be looked on as how the dog looks and feels at any given time, if they have healthy teeth, coats, skin, energy etc etc then the diet they are on must be working. Well that's how I look at it anyway. If I took advice from the vets I'd be feeding the most expensive food ever that they sell. I like to be the judge of what they need as far as food requirements go. Don't get me wrong I have had to change diets with one of mine a few times before we finally got it right. Some dogs can have anything and still lead a long life some dogs diets need a bit of tweaking.
  14. I defiantly don't wrap mine in cotton wool otherwise they would never lead the great life they lead out and about having fun, but I do do as much as I can to keep them healthy. Annual vacs which I don't believe are as necessary as they are but I do it as we socialise at a lot of off leash dog parks so if it stops them getting one disease its worth it. Good food, keeping their weight down. Regular coat care, regular brushing, baths fortnight and clipping bi monthly, this allows me close inspection of coats, feet, ears, skin teeth regularly if anything needs addressing it gets addressed. Never letting them sleep on concrete or any cold hard surface for any length of time. Regular worming. Regular excessive. Vigilance with excessive jumping. No chemical flea treatments unless I actually see a flea which is usually only after we have been away, I hate this stuff with a passion! (Maybe I'm just paranoid) I'm a believer in if its going to happen its going to happen but if I can prevent some stuff by good common sense then I'm happy. I never want to say to myself "oh if only I had of done it this way" which I do on occasion and kick myself over. Our old dog lived till 16 and my old kitty is 21 which I think is a pretty good longevity record. I can't bare to think about my animals or being here but as know its inevitable, but in the meantime I like to give them the best possible life I can. Great idea for a thread by the way. It's something I think about all the time and hope I am giving them all they need.
  15. Like everyone else here Caz, I think of you and Buddy and your family everyday and the heartache you are going through. Hope the rest of your pack are coming to terms with a buddy's loss, it must be hard for them too. Beautiful photos.
  16. Day 54 Ping you book looks great, awesome memories to keep!
  17. They do don't they, kind of an perpetual angry beak! It has lost a bit of quality uploading it to here, the high res file his eye is really bright orange.

  21. I got the canon 6D, day 52 was taken with it and the 70-200f/4. I get my Sigma 24-70 f2.8 in a couple of days can't wait!
  22. As you can tell from the outtakes and the one on the bed, I have no treats, treats means line up front and centre and pose! And they are pretty good at it. I will try some more adventurous poses this year though and my biggest challenge is getting them all looking at the same time, It is usually Cooper who detests looking at the camera. Love the treatment on that one Helen, gorgeous!
  23. I love the Hankdog stink eye! Beautiful Harvey, he doesn't look too impressed to find out there is so many weeks to go! Welcome Helen Tilly look so happy to be having her photo taken! Ktig, just gorgeous especially the second one! I have two, Week 3 Pt 1 & 2 No cooperation here. This is always the view as I go out the back door, I tried to get them all looking.
