Can someone explain to me in really simple terms how the dangerous dogs laws work? If you can't prove what the dog is then the council can come along and seize your dog if they think it's a dangerous breed? What about all the unknow parentage of the bull breeds at the RSPCA and pounds across Australia?

So sad.

Thanks, Ive never really done any landscapey type of shots, but I am finding myself seeing things Id like to shoot and when I seen this derelict house I just had to stop and take some shots.

Hi guys, after the other thread on presets, I went in search of some freebies and DL some and had a play, I thought it might be hard to install them but it was really easy, some of them I didn't even notice a change in the photo but others I think look ok. I'd love some feed back if anyone has the time. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.

i didn't even realise there was two different sorts, My OH got my 50mm 1.8 from honkers and it just worked but I think the D80 had the built in focus motor?

WAP are you on a mobile device, Im trying to decipher your msg. Do you mean get the cheaper deal and then get an extra lens. If you are thinking of getting a smaller prime lens the 50mm is fantastic if you wanna shoot some portraits of your kids and other stuff this lens is very versatile, there is 3 different varieties the 1.8 is the cheapest at around $150 I had one when I had my Nikon D80 and it spent most of its time on the camera, very versatile little lens. There is a thread in the photos section dedicated to 50mm pics, its great if you wanna see the quality this lens produces.

Hey I've got a question that is probly going to sound really dumb, how do you apply a texture to a background and not the subject? Would you have to do that in PS with layers? Or can you do it in LR?
-
If you DL a preset does it automatically go to Lightroom or do you have to install it?
-
Great prices! Edited to add, been surfing about that site and it got me wondering how they can sell stuff so cheap? It's not just a few bucks cheaper but some stuff 100's of $ cheaper

Do you have your heart set on a DSLR? Just to throw a spanner in the works have you considered a compact system camera? HERE is an example. Fantastic images without the hassle of different lenses etc. I have always had a DSLR and a compact camera, for when I don't want to lug the big camera around. Compacts used to be just compacts but the one mentioned here and lots of others now have bigger sensors and lots of fantastic features so you can achieve high quality images.

It would be a fantastic camera for your needs.

Have you decided where you will buy from? HN have a good price on this camera with two lenses. HERE

The D3200 looks to be a great camera, what sort of things do you like to shoot? Would this be your first DSLR? There a review HERE

I use LR but I haven't downloaded any of the presets, I just use the ones that come standard, or use the sliders to edit and add my own effect. Will watch with interest.

I usually use something like that its called oti clean after swimming or once a month in winter but being away from home I didn't bring it with me. I decided best to get it checked out just incase. The vet didn't think she has anything in it but it was very mucky, she gave her an anti inflam injection and sent us home with drops (not surolan) they are called tri-otic. So hopefully she will be much improved over the next couple of days.

Rang the vets and have to have a consult so got appointment at 11.30am.

Thought of that too but no ear problems with this dog for 4 years. Recently Cooper had an operation and had to have a course of antibiotics which in turn caused infection in both ears so we were prescribed the drops for him. Had I have been at home I would have just used them.
