  1. Thanks, I thought as much. I'm still going to try. I'm away from home and one of my girls has a yucky ear. I always keep a bottle in the fridge at home. No scratching no head shaking but brown and mucky and a little smelly. If I can't get it I'll have to make an appointment. Has anyone used any home remedies on mucky ears? I gave it a wipe out with a mixture of vinegar and water last night when I first noticed it. She hasn't had an ear infection for about 4 years!
  2. Does anyone know if a vet clinic will sell me surolan drops over the counter? Without an appointment?
  3. Lovely Helen, nice to see you back! Annie, Phoebe looks happy this week!
  4. If you can't find you you could probly make one with some webbing, a D ring and a clip.
  5. Last time I did the polite thing and stopped for people and their dogs I got badly bitten as the passing dog lunged for my youngest boy, I stood in front to protect him and the dog got me instead. I don't stop while walking I just keep on going, if the other people's dogs are aggressive that's their problem not mine. Also I think stopping gives the dog/dogs time to focus on the passing dog/dogs. There is so many threads like this, If possible keep walking ignore others and their dogs!
  6. I think the name on the bag gives it away! I'm guessing you haven't seen a bag yet, it's called Lamb and Rice.
  7. A couple from me, I couldn't decide. This one kind of looks almost cartoonish, not sure what I did when I edited it but I quite liked it so I left it, its something about the water behind the dogs! This is typical Lacy she is always the first one to break the stay for the treat. little tubby foodie!! 27/52 Lacy looks a bit solemn in this shot, she was tired and this big doggy is her favourite toy, she sleeps on it sucks and plays with it.
  8. Gorgeous shots! Can I ask what camera and lens you use?
  9. I agree Linda, I thought for a minute the girl taking the shots of the roof was going to use it as her final shot It definatley would not have portrayed a day at the races! I am quite enjoying the show, look forward to next week.
  10. I wish they would show more of the other shots they took, I guess they do throughout the show but at the end it would be good if it showed which other pics they were deciding on. I might be completely dumb but if they were film how were they looking at them on the pc, unless they got them developed and scanned them to the computer?
  11. PC I wrote my post then read yours and realized I'd said the same thing about the cameres! Great minds!!
  12. An interesting challenge I thought. Interesting cameras, I've never heard of any of them!
  13. I use the KM SS Wahl with a 10 blade and stainless steel guide combs, with these I clip 4 poodle x cocker coats (all different coat types) and they do a fantastic job. THESE are the clippers I use and THESE are the SS guide combs. They have come down a bit in price, I paid $365 for mine as a set about 4 years ago. I taught myself to clip my guys, just watched a few videos and went very steady, I've never had a mishap or cut any of mine thank goodness. I do their feet, up between their eyes with the blade only and the rest of them I use the second shortest comb. Once you do it a few times it will be like second nature, good luck! I forgot to add as far as groomers making your dog looking better than you ever could, I don't agree once you have been doing it for a while you will do a great job. To begin with I used to look at my guys after a clip and go Mmmm ewww but now, I think I do a good job and it's amazing how many people tell me that! A comment on Facebook the other day was how did I always get my dogs to look freshly groomed. I started grooming my guys myself after a bad experience with a groomer which took a long time for my oldest to overcome, but now with 4 it sure is a saving. Disclaimer: just incase Anyone thnks I was having a go at groomers I wasn't, I know there is some fabulous groomers here on DOL and I enjoy reading their posts, my hat goes off to them, it's something I couldn't do professionally especially with some of the story's that arise here!
  14. How you doin Tanya? Are you home yet?
  15. I only had one day where Cooper was off, his stomach heaved all day he had the runs and vomited a couple of times but it only lasted one day. I didn't put it down to his food as he still ate and wanted to eat and it only last one day. If there has been a bad batch somehow we have definatley dodged it. I think if it was the food for CJ to be sick then all 4 of mine would be sick. I've just started a new bag yesterday. My guys just love the stuff and can't get enough of it. I'm sure them looking for a bit extra is due to winter. I got a pamphlet yesterday and it has info about the chicken and rice in it. I'd like 2 of mine to go on the chicken and rice as its lower in fat but the other two need to stay on the lamb and rice. Will decide once it's on the shelves, shouldn't be too much longer now.
  16. One thing I have noticed with my lot, the amount I normally feed I have had to give more as it just isn't enough. I just put it down to winter. I also feed chicken wings and necks 3 times a week.
  17. You edited your post while I was writing mine.
  18. If it was me I would have just kept walking, it's up to her to control her dog if it's off leash, your were on so you were doing the right thing. Are your dogs DA is that why you waited for her to get her dog? Don't think the council or whoever would take the report seriously if the dog was on its own property.
  19. Congratulation Tim and Tanya, how exciting! Tanya hope you and little Milah are doing well.
  20. The windy ear up is great! Lacy week 26 is her stone cold give me the treat stare!
  21. Have you been going to your club for a while? Is it a big city club or small town? What sort of equipment do people have?
  22. I know I really should go back, one time is not really enough to Judge the group but I'm not much of a socializer with people I don't know.
  23. I was only just thinking this today, mind you at work with gloves, scarf and coat on had to work till 6 brrrrrrrr!!! Luckily got tomorrow off, supposed to be dog training in the morning but if it's raining like it is now I know where I'll be staying!
  24. Oh Rozzie, what shocking news. Poor lil Sarge. Hope the dog and owners are dealt with swiftly! Big hugs to your family.
