  1. One of my girls developed an anal gland abscess which was treated and a few weeks later had the same thing happen to the other anal gland. It happened so suddenly and she was put on Antibiotics again. The vet did mention to remove the glands but I wanted to wait and see. If the problem kept re-occuring then it would be an option but I decided against it at that stage. A couple of weeks later her glands were expressed, and then again another month later. Now its been a few months since she had the problem and she has been fine. The vet said she has thicker secretions and that was probably why she got blocked up. If I were you, I would wait and keep an eye on her. Perhaps express the glands once a month or when needed or get the vet to do it.
  2. What a beautiful photo, Shell!! It looks so magical.
  3. Very nice, Tess! LOL @ the poopy butt
  4. I use lightroom 2.4 and didnt download the trial but it seems noise reduction is a new feature. New features: http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshoplig...es/?view=topnew Will definitely need to try out the trial and upgrade. I love Lightroom! ETA
  5. wrong section!
  6. Um I though I messed with the saturation but it turns out I just decreased the Hue. It is mostly an increase in temperature. I personally think the temp can really 'change' a photo. Cool and warm tones really do change the story in the photo in my opinion. I just adore tigers, your photos are just beautiful :D
  7. Love this. Iam however interested to know how the photo would look if you brought up the temp a bit and saturated it a bit more. Like this? Or saturation the other way? See no idea what I am doing. Your doing well! Did you bring up the temp too or just increased saturation?
  8. Love this. Iam however interested to know how the photo would look if you brought up the temp a bit and saturated it a bit more.
  9. Kirislin, I learn from my own playing around. Im not good with books and tutorials (although sometimes if they are explained well, its fine). I still dont think my editing is very high tech, I still think its very basic. I dont use photoshop as much as its too technical for me. Light room is so user friendly in my opinion. It does what I want it to so im not complaning :D
  10. Here is another. This time, I selected the 'aged photo' preset, reduced the exposure, decreased the lens adjustment vignette and post crop, increased recovery, increased blacks slightly and reduced clarity slightly.
  11. Here is something I did in just a few seconds. Very basic editing. I used lightroom for this. The 'Before' photo is a little dull looking. The 'After' photo has had some tonal adjustments, slightly raised the warmer tones in the 'temp', increased the 'blacks' to give it more definition and contrast and reduced the lens adjustment amount so that the edges of the photo would darken and decreased the exposure slightly. ETA
  12. Sol, I think you managed to achieve what you wanted in that image, well done
  13. Really nice, Kerri! Love the treatment too

  15. Well today my OH and myself went to the Barossa Valley and visited a few wineries. I had to pull over to get this shot. I stood in the middle of the road as OH watched out for oncoming cars I wanted to capture the unknown ahead as this road was long but I also wanted to capture the beauty and so I had to compose this shot standing in the middle of the road. ETA - This was taken with my new 24-70mm
  16. Looking good guys!! Im going to the Barossa Valley tomorrow so ill be putting my 24-70mm to use so I can post here!
  17. I just saw an add for canon, similar to "flex" but using one of the photo 5 images from 2008 with a boy blowing bubbles and tve voice over was a lady talking about her "son". This wad on channel 7! Maybe Charch will be on free to air too!!
