  1. I shouldn't underestimate what my Moo is capable of Lots of work to do still on getting them 100%, same with Ruby's. But at least both of them have basic 12 pole weaving skills now
  2. Yep I am down to 7 fingers after last night. Tell me do you ever feed your blonde one??? Pfft, I could ask you the same question about Beans!!! I've lost a few fingers to her, too Thanks for your help last night
  3. So I forgot to do the girls their frozen kong last night for today, and didn't really have time this morning to stuff some things in it. They wait at the door for it every morning after I've given them breakfast, then run off to the lawn with it and don't give me a second glance as I walk out the door for work. So instead this morning, I chucked a bunch of kibble on the grass and they were busy hoovering it up to care that I was leaving for work And being the piggies they are, they will probably still be hoovering when I get home in case they missed some
  4. Is the Smithfield ANKC registered? I ask because I googled them after watching the one at the Agility Nationals run (it was seriously cute!) but couldn't really find any info on them. I did stumble across one site on them, a breeder in Tassie (where this agility Smithfield was from).
  5. Millie is weaving 12 straight poles, yippee!!!!!!!
  6. This is what sprung to mind when I read the question for the poll. How is the judge to know if you used one word or two? The rules state the command must be one word only (and one syllable I believe?)
  7. Thanks for that! School holidays, erm, might skip it this weekend! I might just go to the same place I went last time in the city. A bit pricey, though What do you need to know? Obedience is the first night, then the following 3 nights are agility/games/etc (without the catalogue on hand I can't tell you exactly )
  8. I go to a place in Midland and pay around $35 for a wash and cut :D Want to come for a drive? Funny you should mention Midland, I am meeting Candice there on Sat and was thinking about getting a haircut at the same time! Can you send me the name of the place, please? P.S. Midland is only about 20 mins away so it isn't that much of a drive Straight down Roe!! (entry is round the corner from me)
  9. Can anyone recommend a good hair dresser SOR? I want one reasonably priced that won't do a hack job!! I usually go to those expensive places since getting my hair hacked at a local salon, but think I should brave one again!
  10. If you were to look up the line from the tunnel exit: The first time the jumps are straight The next time you move the first jump a couple of inches to the left, the 2nd one a couple of inches to the right, 3rd a couple of inches to the left etc The next time, rinse & repeat In the end, the inside uprights are basically in a straight line Make sense? Yes! :D Thanks.
  11. Looks good!! Can you please explain more about offsetting jumps?
  12. What DOL has given me: - has opened my eyes to other breeds and now I have a "wants" list. Before DOL there was only ever one dog breed for me - introduced me to the training gurus in WA which has not only helped me become a better trainer, but I class them as friends, too Without them I don't know where I'd be! - introduced me to the eeeevils of the Clean Run website - great friends who I would call real life friends now, and training buddies
  13. Yay Pep! Love that first picture of her bouncing through the water
  14. Awesome! Maybe we can rope you into being filmographer for the comedy act aka strategic pairs!!!
  15. Banjo sure does have a lot of girlfriends, doesn't he :D Trixie just lurves him, and she always loves Jenna too, even if Jenna kept trying to push her underneath for a drink since she is puppy sized in her opinion ;) I think Banjo likes it that all the other DOLer dogs at training are girls, except for Kyzer who doesn't want the girls anyway and Jasper who is as big as Banjo's head so beneath his notice ;) Ruby isn't much of a lady Then again, neither is Millie ;) What am I raising here!!
  16. That's why we set our goal for 2 months, not 12 days My goal was to have Millie weaving by this weekend (fun agility trial) when I started training weaves in November, and even though we haven't gotten there fully, we've gotten pretty damn close so I couldn't be happier! This too is when you just don't have the time to train it several sessions a day, due to real life, and wanting/needing to train other things!
  17. Banjo sure does have a lot of girlfriends, doesn't he Trixie just lurves him, and she always loves Jenna too, even if Jenna kept trying to push her underneath for a drink since she is puppy sized in her opinion Jenna probably thinks well if you aren't going to feed your puppy Dobe then dammit I will, as she's been this small forever!!
  18. TSD is on a mission to convert the whole Training subforum to working line Springers I think! And it's working :D While little Em is totally and utterly adorable, no ESS for me! ;)
  19. Yep chocolate was calling But the kids all trained well - so thanks Rubystar I must remember that Sunday's show is reverse alphabetical order which means I need to get there early, which also means I should get a decent parking spot Mmmm chocolate.... didn't have anything near as yummy calling my name! I did a little bit of a directed retrieve thing when you left last night with 3 retrieving dummies, very happy that Ruby nailed each one! But they were spaced out much further than gloves in UD That's another good thing about summer, extended daylight. More time for training! I got to train obedience, retrieving and agility last night which I wouldn't get to do in winter! I can get there long before club turns the lights on (and my girls were STILL raring to go after 2 hours there :D)
  20. Banjo out of sorts? Never! He couldn't decide which of my girls he had the hots for most last night Ruby thought he was a little too frisky for her liking :D Yes, a Lab who asked another dog to back off, who woulda thunk it? I think Millie has a crush on Banjo though And agreed, no way to winter yet! But I'd be happy with autumn, if only it would stay that way weather wise all year! (minus all the leaves dropped, grrr, got a yard full, but have leaves all year round to clean up anyway!!)
  21. He should start to get it if you go back to one set of 2 poles, and start with them fully open, like this | | and ask him to drive through the open poles from all angles on the "arc". Then slowly rotate the 2 poles ever so slightly (moving the right one backwards) asking him to enter from all angles again. As the poles move, he should understand where that entry point is and recognise it's moving. Keep doing this until they are open just a bit and he is driving through from all angles, then add the 2nd set. When he is driving through both, then slowly rotate both until they are closed.
  22. Woohoo! The brown one weaved 12 consecutive poles tonight We've been training using the 2x2 method and last Saturday I was up to doing the 6 + 6 with a gap in between. We did a few of those, then tonight I was going to do some more but couldn't be bothered setting all my bases up. So I went and had a play with the stick in the ground weaves that were already set up, that were at a slight angle. Sent Millie through thinking if she can't do it no harm done, will just go back to the 6+6 (waiting for the comments on that one ) Well about the third attempt, she did all 12 We're almost there! Didn't think we'd get there when just before Christmas it felt like we were forever stuck at 4 poles
  23. Ptolomy left about 15 mins before I did, you should have come over I saw some Rottis so thought one of them would be you, but everyone was too far away to spot individuals. Had another great night at training Then went and did a little agility and Millie is now weaving 12 consecutive poles (poles at slight angles)
  24. I think some of us need to move in with the caretaker of K9 we're down there so often I want to move at some point but I so love my 10 min drive to K9! I will have to make sure I move no further than 20 mins, but less if possible Roleystone? I still want to build a house there but a few things stop me!
  25. Man bring on the weekend already! My days are dragging Looking forward to Fri and Sat nights And maybe Sunday if I drag myself down to the show :D Anyone else here going to be at CCC this Sat night?
