  1. That sounds pretty darned good to me, Boronia - you've achieved a LOT in only a few months. Well done to you and Daisy - and I bet you're enjoying watching her learn almost as much as she's enjoying learning. Ditto, well done!!! :D And as I said in the Aussie thread, LP, well done to you and Leo and of course Kinta on a fabulous debut!!!
  2. works for me :D Ruby's Novice debut was our state trial last year And I still stand by the fact that she gave me her best heelwork to date at that trial! Oh how I wish her concentration in the ring would return *sigh*
  3. Wake up, valley! A Chessie is diving next (aaaaand, I recognised it as a Chessie before the woman said so )
  4. Dock Diving Dalmatian on Letterman right now Pretty friggin' impressive jump! More doggies coming up. But I'm almost asleep
  5. I'm confused now... what hand must you hold the lead in? I thought the brakes were normally on the right side, leaving your left hand to hold the lead with your dog on the left?

  7. In all seriousness I will try and get fit enough to do it next year but I need a training plan for me, so if anyone has one please share the link Thanks! I will let you know also, though, as I may be doing both girls myself (different times of course, as I think there are at least 2 ET's a year?) Friend has 2 Labs so we will each do one then do the other at the next ET :p
  8. Ermmm.... I own Labs, I cannot guarantee such an event won't happen
  9. I will do a leg for Ari if you will do one for Lincoln in two years. If you're pimping your services, you wanna run one of my ratbags for the entire thing?
  10. I think I will use the excuse that I am in training for the ET too to eat more chocolate Walking the troops again tonight
  11. I'm not sure at the pace you need to do to the ET at, but I think you'd have to be a super duper power walker to walk it! People normally bike it, if they're unfit like me and could never make it jogging! The fit people tend to jog it, but I think you'll find the majority bike it! We are starting out with walks and building them up, then progressing to the bikes. I like this idea, as it gets me some walking time in throughout the year because I hardly ever exercise and am in desperate need of some!!
  12. Woohoo CC for doggy pickup day!!! ;) Well last night I started my training for next year's ET. Took both girls for an hour and a bit walk with a friend and her 2 Labs, and although it was chaos for the first few minutes of meeting up (4 Labs saying hello to each other, need I say more? ) we soon settled into a routine and had 4 Labs walking quite nicely (plus a pram!) Not very good protection dogs though, walking in the dark, they all just wanted to say hello to any strangers that passed us
  13. Ditto I wonder how NSW came to have that law but the rest of the country doesn't? I wish they would all follow their lead. My local council won't even take applications for extra dogs! Flat out 2 and that's the final word. GRLC, I don't have any advice myself but hopefully if you appeal it they will allow you to keep all your pooches. Best of luck!
  14. I feel so out of it with all this horse talk! I almost feel I should be into horses because most of you are
  15. With my birthday money I am buying a coffee machine. Well, I have to fork out for the other half of it I got a nice surprise at work today, with getting a $50 gift voucher I can use at Myer so I know what it's going towards and where I will be buying my coffee machine now
  16. That sucks!! And what an expensive trial I was writing my entries to the double header Bunbury obedience trial today and realised I'm up for $40 in one hit How do you multiple dog people afford it?
  17. Spartan is lovely! The bib was too funny, though
  18. Millie would be in her element! Actually, throw in a few chutes for her, too
  19. I'll be bringing my 2 ratbags. Entries haven't closed yet have they? I still can't find my cheque book But the Canine News was found! Thought they might have been hiding together.
  20. She did the same thing again last night, so back to baby retrieves on lead so she can't p*ss off on me. She did get thrown back in the car at one stage, and the little cow wriggled out of her collar that had her tied in, and must have gotten to my front seat because when I went to fill up with treats, the container was empty! Choc Lab going for freeeeeeee!!!! Any takers?
  21. Argh do I smell a come back???? I will let the canteen ladies know Nice work huski!!!
  22. You can laugh at me trying to do some retrieving with Ruby. And at Millie too if she has a repeat of last week at training - she thought running off to do her own thing rather than bring the dumbell back was more exciting. I showed her something more exciting - the inside of my car with the door shut ;)
