Not a show person here. My main passion is obedience trialling, but I'm also training my two up for agility and one in retrieving. Tonight I found a partner to train the ET (Endurance Test) with for next year, and I'm being talked into doing tracking too Now if I can just find some time to scratch my bum when it itches, I'll be all set ;) :p Still contemplating searching for a show potential puppy for my next one, not sure yet if I'm crazy or just a glutton for punishment with all these commitments

Not sure about cheap but I got mine from http://www.trainthethirdway.com/ -
I'm up still cos I didn't get home from training tonight until about 10pm. Need time to unwind before bed, even though I'm dead tired!

valley, you ordered what I wanted to! Haven't done it yet, my bank account is looking very, very sad. Renovating houses is no fun at all ;) What colour whistle did you get? I was going to order 2 of the purple ones And as Amy said, there is a massive roped off section of the bottom oval, so even being the only one training on my own on Monday, I couldn't even fit next to the rings they set up But there might be room up in the back corner behind the "social agility" class to do some rally stuff. If I could work Millie out of a crate, I would consider heading up there myself. But I need to work out of my car having both girls so it doesn't work for me :p Stupid drainage taking all the space!!! And the top oval is already sooo squished up. New enrolments I guess happened last night and it was just chaos. There was a dog fight up there, sounded and looked quite horrible There is hardly any room to move up there and being mostly beginners, they don't keep their dogs close to them. I had one guy from the social agility group bring his dog up to Millie who was tethered in front of my car, to "say hello". I had to ask (tell!) him to get his dog away as mine is not that friendly!!!

Let me guess... you and ST doing some Rally training? ;) Yes but I am waititng on ST to find out when she wants to start training even though I am pretty sure she said next week. Good news is that you can have ES cuddles every week! Yippeeeeeeeee!! Where are you going to be training? Edit: I really need that millionaire hubby, because I also want an orange belton and a blue belton ES

I was starting to think the sex of the pup wouldn't matter to me either, but, I have to admit, I am a sucker for the girlies. It's all I've ever had. Had a boy dog growing up though, the one and only (he was Mum's dog) and I can't really say he made me want a boy dog.

What colour would be your next Beagle if you go that way, huski?
-
What about a tri and tan and white beagle pair? Those come after the Aussies :D Or when I find a millionaire husband that will let me quit work, we buy a yuuuuuuuuuuuge property, and I can have my farm of dogs :D
-
I have a thing for having same breed/different colour dogs  I have my yellow and choc Labs, and my next pair I want a red merle and blue merle Aussie Would get the next matching pair (separately of course!) in the next few years to add to my current pack if I could :D

Hugs to you mercedes. I too can't believe it's been a year!

Wow valley he will be gone for ages! You are going to miss him terribly and wonder what you've done! But it all sounds very exciting and a good opportunity for him
-
Good luck Leopuppy - let us all know how you get on and I hope the seekback gods look after you ;) PS - Dare I ask is it another Aussie you are planning???? Of course Ptolomy. Is there any other breed I toyed with the BC idea for a little while, but I just love my aussies too much ;). Hmm... might even include a trip to WA.... We'll see :p Oh I will act like I got a perfect score if Leo finds his seekback. What colour?! and if it includes a trip to WA, can I puhleeeeeease meet puppy?! :D

Hmmm maybe I will stay in Open for a while, UD sounds scary! Not that I think I will have much choice, as I think having Ruby in Open I will experience similar things to UD in that slowly her exercises will fall apart! I have a feeling Moo will be joining Ruby in Open before Ruby even manages a single pass

TAFE undergoes a name change every other year it seems! When I was back doing TAFE, it had a few name changes. South East Metropolitan College of TAFE to Swan TAFE, and Midland College of TAFE also to Swan TAFE. And now Polytechnic West Yup, I'm one who will just stick with the word TAFE! Didn't it used to be called "Tech" all those years ago? I remember that's what my sister used to call it. So that will probably be the "new" name again, as a short version of Polytechnic! (which might have been it's old name?) Oh geez, make up yours minds -

So do you lose points if the photo you take is of a dog that the lecturer in his opinion doesn't meet the breed standard or is not a show dog? -

I wanna do those ones!! *stomps foot* Sounds like they will be available as a semester 1 thing, so I will have to enrol in those next year. Not sure how, though, as I am maxing out my annual leave to do these 2 modules!! -

I bought it off ebay last year for about $30, but haven't read it I have a few different books and loads of DVD's and in my usual fashion, I rarely watch/read them The Chris Bach stuff is good, though LP - I got that Kay Laurence stuff on your recommendation about 18 months ago. Can't say I really got far with that, either -

YES! The 2 units I am enrolled in this semester are Follow OHS Procedures in an Animal Care Environment and Monitor and Maintain Health of Companion Animals. Have you done those yet? I was also enrolled in Prepare Companion Animal Diets and Monitor Feeding but decided to pull out so I can continue agility because it fell on agility night -
