  1. I set Ruby up in between me and the start post, to try and eliminate her jumping on the judge (here in WA they are mostly posts about waist height for the start peg). The jumping is not such an issue now, but that was the reason why I started it. Now, it's just habit. As for Millie, she gets set up in the same spot but that is also due to habit. Just doesn't feel right me standing next to the start post! Edit: another reason I guess I keep it that way is so the dog sees the post and I can help establish a routine for the start peg. In training, I will often stand there and click/treat for attention. The idea is sitting next to the post is the cue to the dog to look at me and be ready to go. Which certainly isn't foolproof obviously, especially if I was to trial interstate where the start post is not the same!
  2. I've been meaning to make an order for my girls and include goat... I guess I have to wait some more
  3. You've said it out loud now, can't back out!
  4. I have a 3 and a half year old that doesn't understand mouthing is a puppy thing and is still intent on doing it to exciting new strangers. Bad mummy for not getting on top of it as a pup. Here I was thinking age would solve it... gotta love puppy owners like that, huh?!
  5. I printed out all the signs RS! 1 crappy black and white set and a nice colour set I need to get laminated. ;) We still on for Monday? (I am trying to plan an exchange of one Muppet for another, but the melbourne royal gets in the way. But we might get a visit in Feb of a very very handsome Chessie and I don't mean Lincon ) I think you mean ST Though I may join you and do a bit of practice If I'm invited of course :p
  6. You are not alone in that I can assure you But now that you have told us you have Greys that race in WA you do have to give us the heads up so we can organise to go and cheer them on Anyone up for dinner at Checkers? Since it is currently Christmas is July it is $53 for an adult including course entry and buffet dinner. After 7th Aug it is back down to $49. Saturday nights ;) ETA: What is everyone doing on the 21st Aug? Anyone up for dinner prior to the agility trial on Sunday? :p You missed the last DOL dinner we had at Checkers you piker!! I'd love to go, however, $53 is a bit rich for me at the moment, got some pretty nasty expenses happening ETA: Wed night dinners at Checkers is about $35 I think?
  7. Maybe! I might get a sign made up for my front door that says "Katie's Ark" :p I lurk quite often in the Aussie thread, and no they are not from the same breeder
  8. ST - ooooh yes I'd love to show one of them, but my part time showdog is really my full time obedience dog and you've already talked me out of the ES if I want to do some serious obedience! At least until I marry that rich (and can't forget, hunky!!) man!!! Yes I do, but after the pair of Aussies and the jury is still out if they come before or after the pair of Beagles :p
  9. Awesome!! Can I ask which one? Better yet, can you please post it of my beautiful girl?
  10. Yep I'm coming! Especially when there is chocolate cake on offer! Only thing is I'm bringing both dogs so might have to drive myself this time. Shame, no hot cross buns for brekky for you then ;)
  11. I think that's already been invented, I think they call it Rally-O
  12. I think she was worse than a Labrador You say that like a Labrador is a bad thing!!
  13. Well done, Rach!!! Bugger about not being paid, though!
  14. Asha sounds like a Labrador I was gonna come over to meet Asha last night but was busy throwing dumbells very badly
  15. The feraler the better Bring on my red merle Aussie!
  16. There's an obedience practice trial coming up, plus Rally-O rounds Unfortunately I can't make it, retrieving training day the same day
  17. That won't work if you're using paypal - don't need your credit card in your hand if they already have it. Paypal is dangerous! When I can't be bothered getting off my butt to go get the credit card, I just use paypal. Didn't think you could use paypal for clean run though? I actually had to get up last night to get my card out of my bag! My mum even has a paypal account now. She has become addicted to ebay This is dangerous stuff!!
  18. This is me trying to teach my girls the directed retrieve (need to get started for retrieving, so it ties in well with obedience!) Finding it hard for them to lock onto the bowl, and not me I spent so much time putting value on looking at me that Millie is proving a tad difficult to do agility with Why would she want to look at that jump in front of her when she can gaze lovingly at her mum?
  19. OMG the CR free shipping list has dropped from a gazillion things to only 14 things!! Lucky the 3 things I want are still there. Maybe I will do my order afterall :p Order made, another step towards being in debt ;) Got the focused puppy book, doggles toss-n-tug ball, 2 whistles, and I also bought the reflective leg bands included in the free shipping, thought they'd be useful for night time walking when I start ET training Must give my credit card to someone else for safe keeping! But not giving it to any of you other CR addicts
  20. Learning to drive was not an enjoyable experience at all! Hope you have some fun learning ;) Sorry to hear about your job, that sucks
