  3. UPDATE: A MASSIVE THANK YOU to a very very generous DOLer who had organised some items for Mistys owner and had dropped them off to me on saturday in the hope of making their Christmas a little easier and special. I had the great pleasure of dropping the items off to Misty and her owner on Sunday. The joy I saw in her face while I was unloading everything from the car was priceless. :D Mistys owner introduced me to her 2 little grand children they were very sweet and very adorable... they were having fun splashing around in the bath at the time :D They also said a big thank you to every for helping them out with Misty. She was so appreciative and thankful to everyone for your kind donations and thoughts. She also wanted to pass on a very Merry Christmas I also got to meet little Misty. Now she is just a doll and is getting around very well on just 3 legs. Jumping on the couches and loving life. I can see she is well loved part of the family and real big smoocher too! With the permission of Mistys owner here is a photo of Misty!!!

  7. but what is Glenda? Glenda was a frog that lived in my garden, sadly he crossed the bridge a few weeks ago, he found his way into Atlas' mouth but, he left his little baby behind, just need to make sure baby does not come out during the day and never meets Atlas. ohh right im sitting here trying to figure what it was poor widdle garden frog
  8. My dog and my brothers dog got into a massive fight one day at the park. My brothers dog is very protective of him, we were throwing sticks and they were chasing and having fun until Boss got to close to my brother then his dog just went for Boss, then of course Boss bit back, we could not get them off each other specially as they were big dogs. They were growling and latching onto each other. My brother acted real calm about it (I was screaming and yelling for the first min or so) we ending up grabbing each dog around their nose and putting our fingers in there mouth and yanking their mouths of each other then pulled them away. I know this was stupid but if we didn't they would have killed each other. My brothers dog still wanted revenge and tried biting boss's balls on the way home. I think screaming and yelling could make a situation worse....? Using a stern and deep voice is more effective I think.
  9. There is a Doggy Day Out held by AWDRI happening from 8-12pm at Kalinga Park I will be there
  10. Not a problem as long as you are happy they are riding in the back seat of the car. And we aren't lunatic drivers. To get to clayfield on time we would probably have to pick them up around 7:00 as its about a 30min drive. Do we get to walk them around etc during the day? This is exciting
  11. Well I am just down the road from Acacia Ridge.... I only have a commodore, Two can fit in the back not sure about 3? I don't have creates or anything either.
  12. Sometimes its just the weather, at my old home we just could not get rid of them.... no matter what we did, they just lived in the ground and in the dirt.... we flea bombed, washed the dogs, spread lime over the entire yard and got the carpets cleaned and yup they were back!
  13. Hi Dju, I really enjoyed watching Hugos progress. All I can say is you are doing the best you can given the confusion of all the instructions/advice given to you (between your breeder and people on here) Would love to meet you at a Brisbane meet one day Don't let this deter you from the forum! Lots of helpful people and things can be learnt from here
  14. I can't find there details on that site? it's probably just me tho ETA: I've stumbled across this website??? http://www.bulldogsaustralia.com/ this is so confusing lol
  15. Another question Hypothetically speaking - If I were to purchase either one of the three breed American/Australian/Olde English Bulldogge how would you go about making sure they are quality and what they breeder says they are, good lines etc? They would be a little more difficult to find information on compared to other breeds.
  16. Member - Sagajane breeds them in America. Empire Bulldogges Ahh thanks Ari.g I love the look of these guys to bad she hasn't been active for a while :p
  17. Thanks Jed Is this the original registry for Australian Bulldogs? australianbulldogsociety.com Is there American Bulldog breeders in Australia? After some research you can register American Bulldogs with UKC.
  18. Ridgebacks are very loyal and their favorite activity is sitting with you on the couch watching tv. They can be very head strong and suborn so you have to have a strong hand because they will push you to see how much they can get away with. They are very trainable.... some more so then others. My boy can learn something new within a day and thats not exaggerating. His recall however is not best at dog parks when there is better things to be doing. They are great with kids and other animals. And they are just adorable!!!
  19. Also, I believe there is a breeder on here who breeds Olde English Bulldogge would love to talk them one day.....
  20. So very true. I hate seeing them panting and out of breath when they are just sitting there and they haven't done anything. Some of the dogs have really bad pigment not sure if this is due to lazy breeding? or what.
