The last couple days Boss has been acting strange.... Lethargic or just moving slow and sometimes if I touch him on his behind he yelps. Now I have been watching him very closely the past couple days noting down his actions, now he can still run, walk, jump, play all the usual stuff except when hes been sitting or laying down for a while and he gets up its like hes stiff and it hurts.... but when he gets warmed up hes fine. The weather in Brisbane at the moment is cold and raining and hes only been like this since the rain has started..... could this be the cause of this? Does it sound like arthritis? He's 3 this month.

If I was a breeder I would charge the average price for that breed. From a puppy buyers perspective that doesn't know how to do proper research on lines and average prices of vets bill etc (and from my perspective) If the price sounded "to good to be true" I wouldn't go near it as most things are "to good to be true" and I'd be scared there is something wrong with the puppies..... If someone is charging above the average price I would expect the dog to do my house cleaning..... so I (as the puppy buyer) would be expecting too much from the pup (and as a "breeder" I don't want to disappoint or the buyer to have high expectations of my produce and think of my breeding as "false advertising") EFS and so it made sense

I only use a check chain when walking Boss - as he is almost the size of me and likes to pull it's really the only way I can have some control over him - we are still working at the pulling I never used to let him wear a collar.... but he likes to run away when I am not home and mum and dad have left their guard down, he's taken off when the door was open for one second. So I don't trust him or them!

He's lucky the dog didn't turn on him for punching it in the head.... then who would be the one in the news headlines?

Is there anything like this event in other states?

Interesting link and I read some of the posts by some people in response to Michael Bay's reward and this post says it all Another psychopath and oxygen thief in the making and the act itself was despicable and horrific enough but to record the act and then post it online shows what a sick psychopath she really is :o OMG this is so disturbing if you are like me DO NOT search for her on facebook and look at her profile. I seriously want to kill her. How she is still posting photos etc on her profile is just wrong. She should be shot. Heartless! Wish I never seen this.

My sister has a cattle dog whos eyes got electrocuted by an electric fence and had to have both eyes taken out. The dog now has prosthetic eyes (first is QLD I believe) And you swear she wouldn't be totally blind. She still runs and chases the ball and can catch the ball. She chases the chooks off the deck, she can walk through the house without bumping into anything. Mind you, you have to wearying when moving furniture around you have to show them that a piece of furniture is where is never used to be. People actually say to my sister 'Shes not totally blind is she" and her reaction is yes she is she has no eyes they took her eye balls out and replaced them with fake ones. However, this pup has one perfectly good eye so I wouldn't be too concerned.

Thanks everyone but its not a sympathy thread. I genuinely want people to give someone they love a hug and REALLY mean it, go do things you have planning to do but haven't got around to doing. There is so much I wish I did with Bella but I will never get the chance to do all those things.

I don't think its bad I think it would be good stimulation, as if its a type of toy. If that's what you are worried about. If you find it acceptable behavior and don't mind the chance of loosing your hose or having holes in the hose i'd let him be he's having fun. Our cattle dog used to do it to, when i was younger and on hot days i'd get the hose out for him to chase around and play with. He just loved it.
