I think the dogs cheated a bit, they got a head start, but the result would have been the same.
-
 No, surely that cant be right, Neko isn't allowed near the road.
-
that sounds right, I think there's some others as well. Might be at KCC too. Marcus hasn't sent me the email. Come along and cheer us on.
-
Yep, we've entered some more at Bulla, I cant remember the dates but they're soon I think.

Neko says "hello all you people out there in computer land! Just thought you might all like to know, I'm still beautiful, and cute, and naughty and irresistable!" taken just a few minutes ago. and that chicken still wont play with me, no matter what I do!

Who do you think would win?

I wonder if it's more than just blindness. If she doesn't play and cried alot that sounds to me like she is in pain. Iggy Mum got an adult rescue dog as a foster who had its eyes removed just before she picked it up. It adapted very well, so I would think a puppy who had never seen would learn to cope because it knows no different, the other behaviours are worrying. I hope she isn't in pain.

Just Love These Pics Of A Dog Doing Such A Great Job!

wow, she should go in that ABC working dog comp. I've liked her page, some wonderful shots there. -
If a dog I dont know comes towards us I do my best to block it from getting to mine until I'm sure it's friendly. I've had one bad experience where a loose dog dragging its leash charged down to mine. It first sniffed then attacked Penny and when I tried to kick it away it went for me too. I reported that to council and I still have the vets bill on my fridge in case that woman and dog ever come back, I'll present her with the bill, but it's been over 3 years now and I dont expect to see them again.
-
best not go back there, it's too dangerous if all that happened in one short walk. I'm lucky I have an off leash park where I live but it's not a dedicated dog park, rather a sports and recreation area where dogs under control are allowed to run free. I have been going for almost 15 years now and know the majority of dogs and people who use it, but I still constantly scan the horizon for dogs I dont know and am quick to call my dogs to me and put them on the leash if I dont know the dog, or in some cases, if I do know the dog.

that's a very sweet story.

How's This For A Doggy Birthday Cake?

shove over Athena It's raw guys! (except for the mash potato) Yuck seafood, I hate the stuff! Athena however loves it. She really did score, I sent OH to get salmon offcuts but he reckons none of the fish shops had any so he had to get her a whole salmon steak! Westiemum can you see the concentration on her face waiting for me to give the command that she can eat it  She doesn't usually look that serious at meal time. that's OK, I can cook  -

Much as I love having all the dogs I've got now, when they pass away I dont plan on replacing them. I found 2 was a great number for me, I could take them everywhere with me then. We used to go on camping holidays and lots of adventures. With 5 some always have to stay at home.

It's so lovely that you did stop and take the photo too. So often we see something, it's beautiful but hurry on our way. I remember when I used to drive the lure at Healesville. Some mornings the sun would be shining through some pine trees on the road in, it was only at a certain time of the year, and I used to think, I should stop and take a photo of that, but I never did.

I'm not very good at those kind of shots. I took these a few years ago one Anzac Day, they probably fit the bill maybe this one, not sure.
