Wow, just WOW! Gapvic you need to get the movie called White Mane, or in French Crin Blanc directed by Albert Lamorisse of The Red Balloon fame. You can get it on ebay. It's about a boy who befriends a wild stallion in the Camargue. I wont tell you anymore but I saw this movie only once when I was about 5 years old and never forgot it but could never remember the name of it until about 10 years ago I finally worked it out and bought the movie and 2 books. After just coming back from there I think you will love it.

If you have a sewing machine it wouldn't be hard to make one. Just double thickness of material with velcro to close. You can put a sanitory pad inside to soak up the wees.

As far as I can work out, if you have more than 2 dogs or cats, then you have to apply for an animal permit and it is only then that they ask what for what purpose you own your dogs: http://www.yarraranges.vic.gov.au/Property/Pets/Keeping-Animals I have an animal permit, I have to renew it every year and it clearly states no breeding of dogs allowed. When I questioned it I was told I had to register myself as a business.

Yarra Ranges Shire already insists that if a person breeds from a dog they must be registered as a business, even if they are registered with Dogs Vic. Doesn't matter if they sell the puppies or not.

I tend to think the same as the others who've said it wont work. Unless you can be absolutely sure you can keep them separate. I have friends who had guinea pigs for years and also had whippets. They had the guineas in a raised enclosure and the whippets couldn't reach them. Perhaps if they stood on hind legs they might have been able to sniff them but the enclosure was secure anyway so it worked out OK. If you cannot guarantee you can keep yours separate then it is going to end with tears.

Thank you. I have emailed every registered breeder on the list on the dogzonline website so hopefully someone can help us. Horrible situation and I wish the owners put more thought into their decision because it's not been fair on us. Technically I know we don't have to give her back, but I can't keep her with all this pressure on us If you do allow them to purchase her back, perhaps tell them to contact you first (to give you first choice/refusal) if they once again realise they cannot keep her.

ask for more photos and more information, names of parents photos of pedigrees, breeders name and registered prefix.. Seems odd to me. I'd be wary of paying money and not getting a puppy.

Nothing like the feel of warm dog vomit on your leg in bed. This is another difference I've found between whippets and Italian greyhounds, whippets, well, my ones at least, will do their best to get outside if they're feeling sick. Neko just goes BLERK! without any warning and then expects me to pet her up cause she's got a yucky sicky taste in her mouth.
