Marcus and I have been intrigued by the 2 girls, they look quite different to what he's seen before from Roskyle. Then I found the breeder of the sire (Bipsy) facebook page and I can see a strong resemblance to their puppies, so the 2 little girls have very much thrown to the sire line. Even though the girls are also different to each other, I see puppies types that both of them look like. Little Inky with her sparse coat, and Mystery with her high set ears. You can see some of their puppies here. https://www.facebook.com/novaticapl/?fref=ts

Is he eating that sheeps foot on the bed? Love the water ones.
-
What age do you start weaning? When have you taken the puppies totally off mum? When would mum be dried up? Just curious to see what others do.
-
I do always sharpen, and I altered the white balance but that was all. I think Marcus has changed his mind now and thinks it might be usable.
-
 would you have your eyes wide open if someone just donged you on the head?
-
I dont have any equipment. I had a fairly narrow depth of field but I needed a bit of room because they're not all the same distance from the camera. It was late in the afternoon and in the shade when we did them. If we have time next week we might try again but who knows what the puppies will do then. Personally I think they'e useable but because I cant see very well I'm probably not as fussy.
-
funny you should say that. The breeder puts out a calendar every year to give to all her puppy buyers and that's what we were trying to get, but Mr Perfection Marcus thinks they're not sharp enough.

You know the old saying, never work with children and animals. I've mentioned before how hard it is to get a group photos of these puppies. Look how they behave! Mr Fat whispers in Mysterys ear, I dare you to hit her on the head, go on! 5F6A6179dppt by kirislin, on Flickr Obviously Mystery is easily led 5F6A6180dppt by kirislin, on Flickr

 I let Marcus read all the comments about his hands. He laughed.

Oh for goodness sake, dribbling does not become you  coffee splurk moment

Yes, it is a bit better thanks. :D I'm a bit sad I missed so many opportunities while they were younger but I just couldn't manage much for a while. It's a beautiful day here today and Marcus will come up later. Hoping we can sit outside with them and maybe get some more shots.
-
yes, when you see him you'd think he was from an earlier litter.
-
the little Mystery girl is really funny when Marcus comes to visit. She doesn't like his beard and the last 2 times he's picked her up when he first arrives and kisses her, she screams, and from then on sort of glares at him when he tries to smooch her. He keeps saying she'll have to get used to it. I speak on her behalf and say 'ugh, it's the horrible hairy man again'. She does get used to it and after a while is playing around his feet like the others, but she has a definite dislike to beards. I joke with her and tell her I'd be the same if I didn't pluck mine out.

Their first day outside. The blue girl needed encouragement. I would have let her work it out in her own time but "father" was impatient, after he'd been telling me she'll come when she is ready, and he went and carried her outside. She was a bit frightened but I'm sure tomorrow they will all be pelting around murdering daisies. 5F6A5990dppt by kirislin, on Flickr

Nah, it's not a waste of time :D It's well spent.
-
Yep, it's all worth it for the enjoyment I get from them. They are totally adorable, I cant look at them without smiling. It must be good for ones well being.
-
Haha first thing in MY morning is mopping the floor and changing their bedding.

Brother, you're standing on my tail! 5F6A5808dppt by kirislin, on Flickr whoops! Is that better? 5F6A5810dppt by kirislin, on Flickr

Yes, the tiny girl looks premmie to me, she still does, but she's going along perfectly normally, eating well, playing, and is often the first to do things. She's the first to come into the kitchen and meet the other dogs, the first to take a step outside, she's a plucky little thing.
-
Yep, there's no hiding it. I think he's going to be beautiful though, just possibly oversize. There's a chance he'll slow down, but I think he'll be big. Nothing we can do about it. 2 unrelated lines, it happens sometimes.
-
They're trying to pluck up the courage to go outside. Secret's giving her big fat brother a bit of a shove, or is she just hiding behind him? 5F6A5797dppt by kirislin, on Flickr Secret, the only true black one we have. 5F6A5799dppt by kirislin, on Flickr 5F6A5803dppt by kirislin, on Flickr very hard to get all three in shot together. I have myself a guard dog. And look at those beautiful eyes. I just love them. Both Bipsy and Neko have beautiful eyes and the babies have inherited them. I've seen some IGs with little eyes and I much prefer these ones. what's the password? 5F6A5753dppt by kirislin, on Flickr Mystery. This is not something I will be encouraging 5F6A5765dppt by kirislin, on Flickr Mr Fat 5F6A5775dppt by kirislin, on Flickr I had to do some quick modifications to stop them wandering into the kitchen area. I'm just a bit worried about Feather, she's old and she didn't cope well with Neko as a tiny puppy, but Neko was much bigger than these babies when she came home. Poor Feathie, she's not a mean aggressive dog, but she doesn't understand tiny puppies and I'm afraid she might snap at them. She hasn't yet but I'm going to make sure they dont pester her. Just a bit of gutter guard and string should do the job. 5F6A5777dppt by kirislin, on Flickr I'm starting to leave the door open when they're playing so they can go out when they feel ready. 5F6A5788dppt by kirislin, on Flickr
